Tabletop Warhammer?

Quite happy for that as a quick paint job after my wash accident. Do nicely for the game once I batch varnish everything.

Do older minis need updating in any way to be table legal? Aside from being painted :p

Older like, 200Xs

Not really, depending on the tournament they will either allow them on their original base size if it’s changed since your models were bought, or insist they’re on the current base size for the unit.

If there was a really drastic size change between old and new models (like Ghazkull is a prime example) you’d probably be asked to use the current model unless you put it on the world’s biggest tactical rock to make it the right size silhouette in the interests of fairness.

Outside of a tournament environment it’s between you and your opponent but outside of the edge cases like Ghaz there’s often not a really big size difference so stick them on the right size base and you’re good to go.

This would be my understanding too.

Does a bear **** in the woods? I'm a sucker for hype and product placement!!

Just ordered a selection of Gamer Grass, AK Wargame Terrain and liquid pigments.

The other half will be soon packing my bags!!

I know what you mean my friend, they are available to pre-order on Amazon for £35 without the paintbrush.

I was looking at AK acrylic inks and Villainy Inks yesterday too, only thing that puts me off the oil based inks is messing around with white spirits.

My nephew got the full set of villany for his birthday. Though I can't see him using 80% of them.

Think they had oversized pigments and the bottles weren't great.

Now you mention it. My nephew sent a bottle to me to ask if I could put it in my 'special shaker' because he said no matter how much he shook it, it still looked like the sediment was not moving

I picked up some speedpaint markers this week, surprisingly good especially for someone like me who has 1) v.little time to paint and 2) isn't very good with a brush! If anyone is curious about them I'd recommend giving them a go.
