Tabletop Warhammer?

I was going to strip my Dreadnought because my yellow recipe has changed but I thought I would just proceed a little bit and see how it looked. Turns out not too bad!
Got some minor touch-ups to do where I can still see a bit of the undercoat plus some weathering and a bit of edging to do before I do the purity seals and then finish off with a satin varnish.

I could tinker with this for another 20 hours but I have to draw the 'good enough' line. I will add a bit more basing material though to cover the gaps from where it was previously stuck on.

Still can't take photos for toffee, also couldn't decide which background looked better so done both, the white made the model look a bit more orange, but I'm using a relatively low spec phone to do this.

Thinking I’m going to just scrap the work I’ve done and thought of building a battle sisters army. Models are horrendous to build and way to much detail for the size to paint.

I know my brain will not be happy with the outcome and will end up getting dunked in stripper!! So might as well call it quits now.

So that’s leaves me with.

Boxes sets and multiplie small boxes of Slaves of Darkness, Spaces Wolves, Stormcast, Black Templars, Deathgaurd, Daughters of Khain, and a few game sets from kill team and warycry.

I also believe I have a box set if the high elves for AOS but I have zero interest to even paint them so might as well call defeat there.

Think I’m doing well tho!! I never bought any of the recent Christmas boxes:D!!!

I still have a urge to buy some Nighthaut tho:(

I'm now wondering where my BloodBowl figures are from 30 years ago. I didn't play the first release, but played the second the one with the polystryrene pitch. I doubt my painting from back then was as good as yours is.
Thanks for the compliments, I have only been painting minis for just over 2 years and still learning various painting techniques, currently painting up the Gouged Eye team of Orks ;)

My family have bought me a CO-Z spraybooth for Christmas, so I need to clear space so I can actually get some more use out of my Ultra. Looking forward to trying out something more than base coating :D.

They look awesome!!! Supeb job

Thanks, I gave up the idea of ever having IF when I first started as I couldn't do yellow well at all. Only now 2-3 years in and with an airbrush am I finally content enough to think I could make a whole army.
I'm not even bothered anymore about the tonal variations I get.

I don’t think there’s a better looking army than the Imperial Fists.

Oooh thats a toughie. I love the yellow but I also toyed with having DG that colour, or a chaos but I've seen so many good things out there I couldn't call it. Of the regular SM chapters I think so but out of everything would be really hard. I saw some 'white templars' that I am sorely tempted to try too one day.

Finally started to model the army I have always wanted to paint since I started the hobby. They just remind me so much of Kael from Willow and all the other glorious 80’s fantasy bad guys :) and then you have the Darkoath for the Conan vibes.

Honestly these models are like night and day compared to the Battle sisters that I have ****** into the drawer!! They had like a gazillion small parts and options but end up looking like monopose models!!

I use tamiya extra thin and that's great, agree with you on the revell. Doesn't even make good sprue goo despite it's heavy melting. Not sure I would find quick set helpful given my glacial build speed. It would be dry before I get the pieces together :D.

I use the regular Tamiya but have extra thin for sealing little gaps, find it dries too fast to use on anything to big.
