He means assessed. It's a typo. That’s not exactly what I was saying. At all. Who’s getting asses?

What do you expect when we keep voting for rulers who despise the poor/disabled?
Means test isn't a test of disability, it is an income test. The purpose of DLA which became PIP was a payment to assist people in coping with the disabled aspect of their life, not related to whatever income they can generate. If it’s means tested then it will come to light if people are trying to fake it.
Not saying they will or are but this is what the tests are for. As long as they pass the means test it will be fine surely?
Yeah they do, but by the luck of all, they have not been in power since 2010.

Just to clarify
You think it's Labour who "despise the poor/disabled"?
Incorrect. That’s why it’s more complicated I didn’t say I was for means tested but it needs to include other factors of life.
Not 1 person is the same in this field. The common factor is they can’t work.
I’m well aware of this.

Means testing would basically conceptually change the PIP payment entirely.
Incorrect.
Many of them work, it is a payment related to coping with disability, it isn't meant as an income payment

Not got anything to add other than some of the replies in this thread are utterly shameful and down right disgusting.
what?I'm suprised it's took this long to be locked. Didn't think posts like this was allowed.
there's nothing wrong with the thread where it is, what is wrong is some of the replies. hiding the thread away to protect it from half witted replies is not a solution. dealing with the half witted replies and those who have posted them is.

I think it would be more of an issue if it was the person themselves who posted about wanting to kill themselves. But yes, unfortunately as it's it GD it brings the trolls out in what is a pretty serious subject.Well, this is where you and I would disagree, but that's fine. I personally think a topic about someone's friend wanting to kill themselves is not suitable to be out in the open in GD, and the poster should be encouraged to post in the dedicated thread, where more experienced posters will respond more appropriately and helpfully. Otherwise one either has to delete posts here, warn posters and/or lock or delete it.
That ship has sailed and some of those harmful posts have been here since yesterday. This hasn't been dealt with well. In fact, I would say this thread has possibly been counterproductive.
