Tattoos....who has them?

The way I see it is that treatment is already available to get rid of tattoos right now, true it’s not 100% effective and it can cost a fair bit but in years to come that treatment is going to become more accessible, effective and cheaper.

So I say get your tattoo and enjoy it, don’t worry about how it will look when your old and wrinkly because you can just get it zapped off.

I'd much rather regret something I did when I was younger when I'm sitting in a home, wearing adult nappies and counting my days than regret never doing it while I still could.

Life is for living; not for restricting what you want to do based on 'what if's.

Well that is my opinion :) They look great when you're young and sad when you're old. Then again I've got tattoo mags that are older than you :p

was that when they would cut the skin and put in pigments? because I am sure they didn't have electricity in those days :p

Because when you are older you see things differently. I am older so I've seen it from both sides. On balance I don't wish I had had tattoos. I don't wish I had not either.
There is nothing that I wish that I HAD done when I was younger that you'd think was exciting. Plenty of things I wish I had NOT done when I was younger though.

If I had my time again I would have spent far less of it on intoxicating substances and nightclubs and save far more of it for other things such as buying a house 5 years earlier.

So when you've gone through the being young thing and come out of it on the other side you'll be in a position to take a balanced view on things and to decide if life really is for living right now or for planning ahead.

I certainly always used to take the view that I could be hit by a bus tomorrow and so what was the point in not living life to the max in the here and now. I suppose becoming a parent makes you think about life beyond your own.

Yeah email me the design stuff when you get it sent through, i'd go to draconiana with you if you want, im intersted in getting my tounge piericed so could do with a wonder around there.

My view is made no less valid by virtue of my being twice as far from retirement as you.

Your view is based on your life experiences to date. Mine is based on having been a teen and been through my 20s and 30s and being married and having kids and having the ability to look back on things that I did in hindsight.

Hindsight is of course a wonderful thing. I think seeing more of the picture gives you a more balanced view. I think that having only seen a small portion of it gives you a narrow view. I consider a view based on a greater wealth of experience as being more valid personally.

but then you wouldnt have lived? by getting a house 5 years earlier? houses can wait, so can the old marriage thing in my eyes... i want to live.

my parents are speaking about going to italy and settling down and taking me with them, im not ready for it.

Please don't make assumptions as to my 'wealth of experience'.

Thats because your 18, I am looking forward to getting married, ideally spending the rest of my life with one girl, I am single just now and hate it with a passion. I miss having someone to talk to all the time, or someone to sit and cuddle.
