but then you wouldnt have lived? by getting a house 5 years earlier? houses can wait, so can the old marriage thing in my eyes... i want to live.

my parents are speaking about going to italy and settling down and taking me with them, im not ready for it.

Very true. However none of that matters to me now in the here and now. What matters to me at this moment is giving the best I can to my daughter.

The thing with living in the here and now is that the here and now changes.

if i had a child sure, id quit college and get a job money wouldnt go on my clothes or body mods, it would all go on the child. naturally.

since i dont have a child thats not the case.

Please don't make assumptions as to my 'wealth of experience'.

I doubt anyone knows it all at any age. One of the differences between young and old people in general terms is that young people assume that they do know it all, they think they've been there done that and so on.
I speak in general terms about people in general not in specific terms about individuals, hence I assumed nothing about you personally.
Do you feel that you are in some way exceptionally wealthy in life expereince for your age then?

This is why i have all my tattoo's in places that can be covered up by a t-shirt. I don't want anything pulling me down when i go for a job. Or any formal things i have to go to i can still have them covered up.

And when you do have that child you might wish you'd spent alittle less of your youth messign about and a little more planning for the future :)

Compared to my peers, yes. A sentiment oft-echod by others.

i like to leave my doors open for the future, and options, plus i know my future will be good in terms of living.. so im ok for now thanks.

and how am i messing about?

im not, im living the life i want right now, not how other people want me to live... i have a gf, i have money, i have a roof over my head, i have my parents still, my family, friends, my band, playing shows, im a very happy person right now.

Which is why the ones I am going to get is going to be on my inner bicep, so a long sleeve shirt can cover it up

I like tattoos. I don't like the way that they fade or the way that they look on old people. I don't like the permanence much either, but as stand alone pieces of creativity they are fantastic. Just not for me.

Yeah, there not for everyone. From the start i've only planned to get black tattoo's as i don't like the way colour fades, i have recently thought about getting a design in just red ink though.

When I were a lad I wanted a tattoo or 2, mainly because most of my mates were getting them & they really looked pretty cool. Now I've grown up I'm really glad I didn't get any as the sort of ones I would have got would look stupid on me in my life now. I'd still get a tattoo, but only one I could change as my life changes:)

I used to do the live for today thing and smoked for 20 years as a result.
That is one thing I wish I could change.
