Do you mind me asking which coffee beans you use ?

I'm no coffee snob but do like quite a strong / big flavor and drink it black. Whatever is on offer when doing an online shop or Amazon - currently on

Note d'Espresso- Cremoso Coffee Beans- 1000 g x 2 Pack https://amzn.eu/d/54O1uGF

It's more than drinkable but quite a bitter bite to it

And yes, they all get used

Some are "every day" / preferred

Some are for "emergency" when the dishwasher is on

Some are for visitors (smaller ones)

Some of the older ones predominantly for workies / when out in the garage or garden

We have around 20

Use a select few that’s about it
I've now bought a nice mug for coffee, so I have one for tea and one for coffee and just wash them every time. Next step would be to do the same for everyone else, then get rid of a bunch of them - keeping a few for guests or 'emergencies' :)

:)

How are you liking the switch?

I think, and i say this without reservation, it is the best pour over / immersion brewer on the market for a single cup. It has the best points from an immersion and filter without their negatives. Make sure you get the larger one because the smaller one won't make enough to fill a proper mug of coffee.

If I break it, I get another one tomorrow.

I have the larger one yeah. I'm getting much better coffee compared to regular v60.

None of this "pour in circles" or flow rate, or first 100g of water in 45s and then control the pour and watch the scales.

I literally just pour some water in, let it bloom, release that part down. Lock the switch, pour the rest of the water until it hit the rim and wait 2mins. Stir once and press it down.

I just remember I also have this "mug", it came with my Hario Switch.

That looks like a measuring jug rather than a mug to drink from, think that would be awkward to drink from due to the shape and the spout thing.

I have some double walled tea mugs (bodum ones) that are really good, but they weren't that cheap compared to your standard every day things, the ones with handles on seem to be a lot more expensive.

These ones: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01I9ERILW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

I need replacements for my ceramic set though, as sometimes I want the glass ones, and sometimes I want ceramic ones, so I'm still in the market for new ones to replace my old/faded ceramics.

It's for the Hario Switch, so the coffee goes into that and then you decanter into your mug....the issue is that the Hario Switch makes enough coffee really for 1 person and there is no point drip into this and then pour into another mug, that would just make the coffee colder and more washing up. So I just use it as a mug, I mean it does come with a nice size handle!

I've setup a price watch on those bodum mugs actually as could do with a couple more, I've broken some by accident.

Those double walled mugs shatter in an epic fashion if they fall by the way, so be careful with them.
