I have a French flatmate that does that with every single cup of tea he drinks. I can't understand it. To leave a teabag in for longer than 3-6 minutes is, to me, blasphemy.

I don't think anyone is saying it for black tea Steve, for green tea someone did and I think that's fairly understandable.

Normally leave the bag in as I like it strong...though drink green tea these days too!

leaving it in there makes it too bitter, rather take it out as the tea has been condensed with the water already.
