Tech related - I have never?

That's the first one I don't believe - probably need a training course to show google tips & tricks (disable autocompletion, inurl:, .....)
- life isn't efficient with other search engines.

Some of you here have some weird pride of not using certain apps or services. What’s the big idea here? If you don’t want it then don’t use it but making it sound like you’re one upping some random teenager by not using TikTok is hilarious.

Being hip by being a trend follower?

For me it's not pride or anything like that. I genuinely don't use social media other than LinkedIn. I do have an Instagram account as my family post pictures on there and I upload maybe one picture a month at most. I haven't got the time to live vicariously via social media. I spend most of my time meeting with people face to face which is far more visceral for me and enjoyable. I generally post on here whilst waiting for something (i.e. commuting).

To be fair we also buy a lot of box sets and then shove them onto Plex.

I was more curious whether you just didn't consume much media and were occupied with other activities. Can tell from other posts you do a fair bit with the family and that obviously means less time vegetating in front of the TV :D

Tell me about it! I don't think I've ever been this tired in all my life! :D But yes we maybe spend an hour in the evenings watching a bit of TV or series but that's really it! It would be a complete waste of money subscribing to things like Netflix and so on. We just wouldn't get on return on investment. We also don't want the kids to spend too much time in front of the TV either.

I'm constantly walking the fine line of how much content is too much for my soon-to-be 5 year old - don't want to blanket restrict him for D+ & tablet but also conscious how quickly he can get absorbed into it if we're not careful. Also have the same issue with time that wife and I maybe manage a 45 minute show in the evening together and done.

Anyway, i'm derailing the thread :)

just use what ever you want, I don't use snapchat, rarely open tiktok etc but I don't have some weird hate towards people who use those apps.

that's my point, use what you want to use. Its the "I'm not a spotty teenager who wants to dance on tiktok 5 hours a day" weird proudness of not using an app that's not being forced on people. I don't use snapchat but I don't go around telling everyone how cool I am for not being part of "that system" :D

Well, what exactly is normal or healthy about Tiktok? The first time I heard everyone talking about it then looking it up, I thought what a bunch of weirdos.

what do you think tiktok is? I'll give you examples:

me - I use it rarely, 2 times a week maybe I'll open it and what I see is car related content, car memes etc, pranks etc. Good way to kill some time when you're waiting for something etc.
my brother - he's into his 3d work, dyi etc all he sees is dyi videos, 3d animations, how-tos etc
my other half - loves crafts and kawaii culture, so she sees a lot of cute plushies, a lot of crafting videos, japan videos etc.

tiktok isn't just 14 yo's dancing to trendy music, tiktok is like youtube, you get videos suggested depending on your likes/hobbies.
