Teeth Cosmetics

I recommend not pointing out to girlfriends all the things you'd kindly like to "fix" about her ;) :p

how to lose a girl in 10 seconds.
(would be less but it takes time to remove her foot from your groin)

Just thought id ask as its on topic, how much would a brace set you back these days and how old is it before your too old for a brace?.

Mark

Now it could just be me.... but if i was worried about my teeth... then someone came upto me offering to pay for them to be fixed... it would confirm my worries about my teeth making me feel even worse....

I believe Optical Express also offer cosmetic dentistry so if you have a look on their website you might find some additional information.

Personally I would not have it done having seen the procedure on TV. Nothing like that is ever as easy as it looks, there's a lot of pain and tears to go through before you get the Hollywood smile. Sometimes it can go drastically wront and your teeth can look much worse. I also think that anyone that wants this should just have all their teeth taken out and wear false teeth because at the end of the day it's basically the same thing.

How much are you actually looking to spend? I consulted my dentist about whitening and it cost something in the region of £120 per set.

Not really though is it? One way the teeth stay in your mouth 24/7, the other way they dont... I know which way I'd rather go and im 100% they are not the same ;)

I'll hold onto my crooked teeth thank you very much.

Although I had the option of braces years ago I refused. Being an obese kid with glasses and braces would have been utter humiliation in school ontop of the onslaught of abuse already given. Still havent bothered getting them fixed. I'll live with it.

Thanks very much guys. Money, like I said is no object at the moment! Won The National Game in the local Bingo 2 weeks ago and just got the cheque through! :D So everyone is making lists at the moment. We'll have a little think!

 Put a deposit down on a house, ask her to move in, im sure she would love that more... and its good for your future, the house will last...teeth fall out

Just how much are we talking about here? A ball park figure would do if u dont want to divulge the exact figure.

If its a very large sum then putting it towards a property would be a lot more wise.

Also as someone above stated, try whitening the teeth first. This may be enough to satiate her hunger for good teeth. If she then wants better teeth, then give her the veneers/braces.

I had 4 porcelain veneers, and i'm due another 3 at least. I'm not really sure what to say. On the one hand people do sometimes tell me that my teeth look nice (and by god my real teeth were out of control), but on the other hand my dental bills for the last 24 months run in excess of 6.5k.. Is it really worth it?, probably not tbh. I wish i had have gone for the brace and quit smoking when i was 18.
One thing's for sure. If she goes for the brace and quits the fags then when the brace has done its dealings it's plain sailing. If you go the veneer route then it's just cost on top of cost. I have to go for checkups (more often than normal) and see some nurse person every 2 months, and it all costs.

Ultimately though it's just money aint it.

Cant you just get them bleached and polished?

Just dont go as far as ross on friends :p :D

I won £100,000. I need to pay off roughly £15k worth of debts. But I want to buy my loved ones presents as well. Buy what I want to buy for a bit before I invest it all and never see it for years.

Might try with the whitening first - see how it goes from there. :D

How did you win that

Can i be a loved one :D

I too have been thinking of cosmetic surgery lately, although I HATE the dentist.

Next to my two front teeth one of them in raised a little bit higher into the gum, the rest of my teeth look absolutely fine and it's not really noticeable unless I pull of some kind of cheesey grin. However... I know it's there so it kind of annoys me a fair bit.

I've only been to the dentist around 4 times in my life, my ma is terrified of going so that's possibly why. The last time I went (after not going for years) they simply sealed my teeth so i've never really had anything done.

I know I sound like abit of a girl but to be fair I will admit I am a little scared of going and having them rip the **** out of my mouth to sort this tooth, although I would like it done. Plus, don't paticularly want a brace or something at this age (nearly 18).

Makes me wonder, it never used to bother me at all. Possibly something to do with society, I don't know.

:(
