I'm no Murray fan, not by a long shot but you have to say not a lot he could've done there, Federer in that form is pretty much unbeatable I would say.

Totally agree. Not that Murray played badly but Fed was just superb. What a final we're in for.

Have to agree. But will Federer be able to keep this up for one more match... who knows. The final obviously has a lot of added pressure.

Think I heard it mentioned that Federer hasn't dropped his serve since an early round in Halle. Regardless of how well he returns against Djokovic if he serves that well again all of the pressure will be on Djokovic to hold his own serve.
I don't think Federer has played this well in a few years. Even when he's not playing great he's always very good, but this kind of level seems as though it's up there with what he was producing when he was winning grand slams for fun. He looks in better form than he did last year.
If he can produce that serving master class in the final, Djokovic will be in for a tough afternoon on Sunday.
That's correct. He and Sampras both have seven. Federer has five in a row though, matching Borg, whereas Sampras got to three then lost to Richard Krajicek in 1996, then got to four in a row before losing to Federer in the quarter finals in 2001.
If he can produce that serving master class in the final, Djokovic will be in for a tough afternoon on Sunday.

Well done to Federer, just too good today. By the sounds of it Murray played well but if he's not even getting close to the returns on most of Federer's service games then that ought to suggest just how good he really was today.
Here's hoping Federer goes ahead and wins his eight Wimbledon on Sunday, partly because I like a good record but also because I'd much prefer him to do it than Djokovic and his gamesmanship.

Fed express was in full flow today...it was like he was playing a video game. His serve was beyond deadly...its like he thinks to himself ...lets have the ball graze the outside serve line and he just does it. Unbelievable. Some of his return shots were absolutely ridiculous as well...no human can make these! lol. If he plays like this he will destroy Novak...no doubt. Hope Fed does win he is the most complete tennis player i've ever had the pleasure of watching. Murray did nothing wrong...he did well to hang in there and hope Fed's level would drop....it never did...lol inhuman!
