Televising Wimbledon Annoyances (and discussing the tournament itself)

That he's far past his best and could play like that shows you how lucky the others are that age has caught up with him the last few years. I was surprised with that, I'm just not sure he can repeat that. It was reported on the radio it was 60/40 in favour of Fed at wimbledon. He reminds me of Becker, when the fans just wanted him to turn back time just one more time.

Can he do it a second time? As much as I hope so, he's 33.

I'm off to see the final tomorrow, I have the utmost respect for Roger Federer the GOAT and simply cannot wait to see him for the first time tomorrow. Win or lose I don't care tbh, all I ask of Fed is to carry on playing tennis. Tennis is lucky to have him.

What's this serena slam talk about?
Holding all 4 majors at the same time? Surely many others have done that already....

I think I've got this about right. She won a non calendar year grand slam between 2002 and 2003 of all four majors; US open, Australian open, Wimbledon and French open.

This year, she's won so far the Australian and French open. The US open is coming up end of august. If she wins Wimbledon today and then the US open, she will have won a calendar year grand slam which I believe is the highest honoured slam. On top of that, she would be the oldest tennis player to achieve that.
