I picked this up on Friday. The developers must have absolutely no idea how to make a modern RTS, because after 4 hours of the campaign, I didn't even feel vaguely like I was caught in a crude machine designed to push me towards multiplayer so they could sell me cosmetics. Seriously, it's nice to have an RTS take its campaign seriously (yes, Homeworld 3 and Company of Heroes 3, that was a dig at you).
It is indeed very fast paced. It reminds me more of Command & Conquer 3 than the first two installments or the Red Alert games. I don't have a problem with that, as I found C&C3 a lot of fun.
