Tenet (2020) - Christoper Nolan

Feel like his films are generally best seen in the cinema so will actually try to see it in one, looks like my local Empire has a lot of showings planned so pop down one afternoon when it's generally empty.

Going to see this on Wednesday, I'm fully expecting to come out of the cinema with a big WTF over my head and have a sleepless night trying to work out what happened :)

Just saw it...

Preview..I love Sweden.

I loved it. Slow burn start but the last half... Lol. Wow I liked a lot. Needs a second viewing. a lot to absorb.

No dune trailer. Was gutted.

Ticket booked for my local LIE-MAX tomorrow. It's tiny compared to a proper screen but hopefully it costing a few quid more will keep the real scum out. :D

Final trailer didn't do much for me, the music over the top didn't help matters. I'll definitely be going to see it though and I'm sure it will be up there with his other films.

Jesus wept! That music, I really hope that **** isn't prevalent throughout the movie.

From Empire:

The blams come thick and fast. Tenet, in fact, might be Christopher Nolan’s blammiest film yet. BLAM! A terrifying thing just happened. BLAM! A shocking moment of revelation. BLAM! Here’s a speedboat. (There really is a massive blam accompanying an otherwise ordinary shot of two people on a speedboat.) It’s not even Hans Zimmer this time — here the great Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, The Mandalorian) is on scoring duties, making it all his own (you will nod your head intensely) but without ever scrimping on the blams. Because if a Christopher Nolan film doesn’t sound like the end of the world, then something’s wrong. And this one really is about the end of the world.

Looks like the reviews are pretty positive, apart from the Guardian who slated it!

The Guardian has actually got three reviews up, their main reviewer (Peter Bradshaw) has given it 5 stars out of 5. They explained it in the comments:

Guardian Staffer Catherine Shoard said:
Hello - just in case people are understandably a bit confused as to why there's three different reviews of Tenet on the site...
The first one was launched on Friday at 5pm, in line with the global embargo lift. This was a first look review, and would ordinarily have been done by Peter, but he was away when the initial press screenings were held.
The one launched on Sunday was the Observer's review (they're our sister paper, published on Sundays).
And this is Peter's review, which will appear in Film&Music this Friday.
Hope that helps.

Not been this baffled after watching a film since Primer. Unlike Primer, I definitely want to watch this again. :p

That makes me very excited

Planning on going to see this on the wife's birthday in around a month, reckon it'll still be on then and also reckon I can avoid major spoilers waiting that long to see it?
