TERA release date announced.

Hmm, now that is temptingly priced. Damnit, I wasn't intending on getting this game but that is quite a good offer!

Peeps, I run a guild on the US server Basalisk Crag, it's the 4th most popular guild on the server (out of 520 odd guilds). For any of you playing the US servers due to the terrible EU support/cheaper costs/no wipes etc (just look at how good the US support is, when our server went down a thread was made within 3 minutes letting us know they knew about it and were resolving the issue asap).

We'd love to have more UK people, there's about 9-10 of us at the moment who make up the guild foundations. We're also running a politcal campaign for Vanarch (the system whereby you can control a region and collect tax/create NPCs/get special mounts etc). If you're playing the US servers and are up for playing with a bunch of UK guys in their mid 20s then definitely check us out http://www.unitguild.com.

Here's the launch schedule for US: http://tera.enmasse.com/launch-schedule

1-32 takes 2-3 days if you work hard at it, so if you pre-ordered you could potentially level cap while the cap is 38 before release. We'd help you.

Can you use any Tera bought key to play on US? or do you have to buy from en masse? I guess you have to use battle ping ontop of your normal subscription to even play without serious lag?

It costs about £30 to buy online from the US store I believe (after conversion).

There's about 13 of us in total playing from Europe and none of us have had any lag at all, not even marginal lag, nor any connection issues. Most of us have been in big 20-50 people GvG events and have experienced hardware lag before any kind of connection issues. It's very solid.

Will be giving this one a miss. I tried it on 2 seperate weekends and just couldn't get into it at all. The typical asian kill a gajillion of this then do it again quests got on my nerves.

Whats your ping like? I have the eu collectors edition box on pre order and im very tempted to jump ship and go NA.

East coast server ping was 120ms ish according windows resource monitor but it doesn't seem to be very reliable. Tells me i have 360ms latency on ventrilo just now when i have 105ms.

Didn't check (game is on hold for pre-launch on sat), we have a guy playing on <1mb broadband in our group and never complains of any lag. We all played over 48 hours during OBT, over peak and non peak play times.

Just thinking this is another flash in the pan mmo that will go ftp in a year ?

You won't find many Korean MMOs follow this format because they're excellent at capturing their audience, but their style often flies over the head of westerners. The game's made by ex-NCSoft employees (Lineage series and Aion) but is taking its own unique direction in terms of combat that has been highly praised on both presentation and usability.

The game has several groundbreaking elements (action based MMORPG that actually works in a raiding format) and the Political system are two. The game has 11 instanced dungeons at launch with hard modes already, a highly tweaked and balanced PvP system whilst still catering for the old eastern 'PK' elements of the game.

I've been playing MMOs for over 10 years now, started with a couple of eastern MMOs called Legend of Mir and Myth of Soma and have played nearly every MMO that has ever launched since. I can safely say that this one has capivated me the most, moreso than my favorites to date.

I'm slightly tempted for this just to avoid the Rus/Pol spamming the channels lol:p

$57 they charge $7 tax!

EDIT after your remark against NA vs EU I then looked it up and I've decided to jump ship and expect 2 more.

I've apparantly ordered 2 CE's both at £40.
Now I see it's unavailable anywhere.

I'm also off on holidays for the first 2 weeks of May.
Im tempted to cancel then and just order a single standard edition tbh.

Woo fantastic! Look forward to playing with you guys :)

Anybody else having problems downloading the EU cilent?, forgot the headstart started today (which is kinda bad since I got GW2 and a raid to do tonight)

Also when I played beta on US it was good, pretty cool people alround, just would be worried about getting a guild who doesn't raids at normal times in UK :p
