I've never had ANY lag on NA servers, neither have the 9 people I play with from the UK and the 2 from Norway. Connection has always been perfect, or slowest connection is like 1meg broadband too.

I don't necessarily lag, but I am subconsciously worried that my attacks are somehow less responsive. I'm not a computer expert, and I don't have much knowledge of latency/ping, but I have at least noticed that aimed attacks sometimes miss, or hit in the wrong direction (such as holding down the Lancer's auto attack and aiming at monsters as they move around you). I'm not absolutely sure whether this would happen less often with a lower ping, but it seems better when viewing EU streams.

It's hard to explain. It's little things like the speed of dismounting and the speed of moving items around in the backpack to new slots, that I've noticed happens slightly slower than when viewing people on the EU streams.

It probably doesn't affect combat/gameplay at all -- it's just I'm one of those OCD people who can't stand knowing it could. It's more of an issue with me, not the NA server, if you follow :P

I played on NA during beta, and while I didn't have any lag as such, I experienced issues similar to what you are having - my big reason for choosing EU over NA. I played as sorc, and sometimes when I used teleport jaunt, it stuck me in place and didn't take me anywhere - happened fairly regularly too.

Yeah. I haven't played anything other than the melee classes really, so it's very hard to notice any lag or timing issues, but I am going to switch over to the EU servers tomorrow morning just to alleviate my worrying over the issue. It's a shame I will have 'wasted' the money on my NA copy, but at least I have technically 'supported' the game, I guess xD

Screw it, I give in. I've been burned by Warhammer and Aion before, let's see how long it takes TERA to hit my MMO graveyard! With that being said, where is the cheapest place to get this? (UK)

Pretty annoyed, left Tera downloading last night at full speed, something fudged up and it's only 25% done grrrrrr. It better be done when I get in from work!
 
After having to download the client twice yesterday (doh!) I'm finally ready to give it a bash.

So is 'velik' the server to roll on?
 
If you're going to roll on a PvE server, then yeah it seems to be. A few fairly large guilds on there, and community is decent from what I have seen so far. It's also the larger of the 2 english speaking PvE servers.

My ingame name is 'Seyline' if you want to add me, can join our guild if you want to I'm sure - helpful bunch! Guild name is Resolute.

Did some levelling last night, saw a couple of different areas. Have to say, the graphics and art design in parts of the game are blowing me away, looks fantastic!
 
After my post last night I bought and downloaded it. Due to a key issue, I could only start downloading at 11pm, so once it had unpacked it was midnight and I had to go sleepies - had a go this morning before work and I'm quite impressed. Very slick experience so far, apart from the Prologue which I felt would have been better served with a trailer instead of me playing through it. Skipped it with my second character.

I rolled on the quieter of the two EN EU PVE servers (the one with the longer name :D) - purely because I read about queues somewhere.
 
I played the open beta very briefly and did enjoy it but didnt get off the starting island. my biggest concern about buying the game is not having anyone to play with, which is the reason i eventually quit WoW as friends moved on, and SWTOR has died a death.

Im looking to play with adults basically who like me have jobs and not unlimited time to play and when I log on theres no massive dramas !

Also what is the end game content like ? I usually find leveling and questing fun but don't wanna be bored when I hit the cap.

I looked at unit guild but wasnt sure about playing on NA servers, and the guild seems to be massive now.
