Terra Nova

My God this show takes the biscuit! Shannon has just looked at a broken window and come to the conclusion that someone must have broken through the window!

crime scene investigators do it all the time you can tell from where the glass lands and the spread

It's not that though, it's the way it was done.

He stops and looks at the window, puzzled for a few seconds, then suddenly declares "Looks like he got in through the window!!"

It's just ridiculous. The obvious things shouldn't need to be stated.

How does a man fix a cpu thats been fried by an emp?

With tweezers, a magnifying glass, and probably some duct tape.

The show is ever more ridiculous, oh look the daughter is kind of smart, so every time anything happens she explains it, the youngest kid is, just irksome, everyone sucks in it.

As for why I watch it, not a whole heck of a lot else on, plus the more crap tv you watch, the better the great tv seems in comparison :p

Not a truer word said :D

I think the biggest problem with this show is going in to, i was expecting it to be about dinosaurs or at least for them to be a main part of the show. In fact it is just a family drama/soap opera set in a weird environment.

Yeap that was my understanding before it aired too. In the same vein as Falling Skies I wish that the Dinos/Aliens were a much bigger part of every episode rather than a few poor CGI moments with the rest of the story about bog standard human interest bits that we've all seen before (Rebellious kids, love interest thrown in, 'Outsiders' causing trouble, Leadership struggles etc etc)

You can see where the budget went though, the Terra Nova set is amazing.

I enjoy it. Its like all new series, they start of slow and build there way up. I think its going to be one of those things you gotta watch from the start to understand anything.

Well... This one episode is awful.. Children role playing the great pilgrimage.. Oh dear.

Carrier dragon flys too.. This gets worse by the week but oddly I still feel a need to watch it..

Watched the double bill pilot and wasn't too impressed. Is it worth continuing with? I am looking for a decent series to watch with Breaking Bad finished til next year, Sons of Anarchy close to ending the season and very few others grabbing my interest.

Damn, I was hoping this would pick up and be worthwhile to start watching again (I stopped after episode 3). Sounds like if anything its gotten even worse lol.

But with TWD finished until next year it probably won't be too long until i'm so bored I end up watching it anyway :(

I will maybe get on this then once Sons of Anarchy finishes and I'm left with not a lot that interests me. Perhaps this and Homeland, which I've yet to watch will get me through until The Walking Dead starts again and Breaking Bad season 5.

to answer those enquiring as to whether the show is worth watching, i'd say yeah it is. the first 5 or so episodes are mediocre at best but you get to know the characters and setting a bit. after that, it starts to pick up and be more serialised, telling the overall story of the show over several episodes. these are much more entertaining and interesting. dialogue is better too.

what i'm saying is that the show improves steadily throughout the season up until episode 9. haven't seen the ones after that yet.
