Bought the game last night - completely addicted to the game. I didn't realise what the wall bricks were for and built my house inside a mountain!!!! Going to start building all over again and also plant the acorns close to the house for recycling the trees.

I've made a route right to the ceiling of the level ontop of the tower (right hand side) using discretely placed ash blocks. If you jump from it you can get to one of the floating islands

Yeh. Game is great, and lots more potential. The only flaw is the lack of help at the beginning really!

I heard it links them together virtually rather than gives you twice the space etc.

How do I stop Steam from showing my friends how much time I've spent playing this amazing game?!? And I've not even had it a week...

Does corruption continuously spread throughout the game? So for example, if I do nothing to stop it (no purification powder or sunflowers) could it eventually spread across the entire world? My house?!?

Oh and I accidently used dynamite in my house last night... a good sign that it was time to go to bed lol

Corruption only spreads on grass/dirt. Put stone/sand there and it will stop.

Yes.

If you buy two piggy banks, both will hold the exact same items. This works across worlds, so you could have multiple piggy banks on the same world (providing access to the same items), or you can have multiple piggy banks on different servers, all of which hold the same set of items. It's basically an extension of your inventory space.

Another quicky: is there a way to consolidate my money? I have loads of 100 coppers stacks in my chests :confused:

stand near a work bench with the money in your inventory, and you'll get the option to convert 100 copper into 1 silver, and 100 silver into 1 gold (also, the option to do the opposite, ie 1 silver into 100 copper).

Best bet is to stand near the workbench, press escape to get the build menu, then click on a piggy bank. You can now convert money and move it between inventory and piggy bank at the same time

Ah nice! Will try this when I get home. So you don't have to place the piggy bank on the bench to access the coins inside?

just in click-able reach - you need to be able to click on the piggy bank whilst in build-mode with the bench. Obviously, piggy-bank-on-bench makes this much simpler

It actually took me ages to figure out how to use the piggy bank - game needs more instruction!

Also I got scared when I couldn't get it back. Didn't occur to me to smash it with a hammer! Can be quite unintuitive at times, but ingenious and charming at others

Noob question here: I want to place a torch/furniture, I select the item and then click anywhere on screen, sometimes it places the item, sometime not.
