Terrible Jaguar re-brand

what I don't get..,.. if going forward jaguar are not interested in the "old fashioned" branding, and they are only expecting a max.of 15% of existing customers.be interested in the new cars, instead wanting new buyers currently unaware or uninterested in jaguars......
Then why do it with jaguar in the 1st place.
create a new brand with a new ethos and either keep making jaguars (possibly as essentially the same car but with different design finishes a bit like cupra born and ID3)
OR just sell the name jaguar to another company,.let them carry on with jaguar and the new and improved car and company aimed at Gen Z can do what they want.

IF it's true they genuinely do not expect existing jaguar customers to like their. new products.anyway I don't see the loss..

Because it's conspiracy, apparently.

Only memorable car adverts were the Clive Owen bmw shorts , the mache-e with James Brown not bad too, otherwise the new mercedes adds precursor to the jag add ..
car configuration, it's your choice and girl(family) power oriented add.

This really is a god awful ad, really confusing to whom they are targeting with this.
I think they know exactly who they're targeting with this. And its their current market, ie. aging, well off, slightly pudgy men who are up in arms about it because they aren't the target demo any more.

Their problem will likely be that they've now alienated the old market and a fluffy ad with Zoolander-level BS slogans isn't going to win them much new business.

Would one advert really stop sane people from buying a car?
