Afternoon all, just moved into my first house this weekend and have to go shopping tonight and was just wondering out of the 2 mentioned places which people this is best for prices and offers etc??

Not the most interesting subject I know but any replaies will e appreciated!!

Cheers

I've always liked Morrisons, but isn't Tesco supposed to be some superpower now with amazingly low prices? (tm) Try one this week and another the next? XD

Morrisons is better overall for prices, imo.

But it's impossible to tell which has the most offers at any one time really.

I wish i had a Morrisons near my apartment at the moment. Only got a massive Tesco's extra, would trade it in for a Morrisons any day. :)

If Morrisons has the Buy One Get One Free offers on food you need then they will own Tescos for price (our last weeks shopping saved us £16 thanks to BOGOF)

However, in general Tescos are cheaper.

We tend to get most of our shopping from Lidl and Morrisons.

I saw some t health program on the tv and Morrisons was the worst out of all supermarkets for health, ie the ready made meals were packed with salt etc. That puts me off really, Co-op was the best if i recall, but sainsbury and tesco were 3rd I think.

Personally Id pay a few more quid to have better stuff.

Though obv that doesnt apply to branded stuff.

are u all having a laugh?

Morrisons suck! Me and the mrs went around our local one and it was awful! Tecos on the other hand is awesome ours is huge and do most shopping there never going back to morrisons!

Tesco's is better, just got more stuff.

But saying that Morrisons is the only place I have ever seen a ready to eat Chicken Balti Pie!

Morrisons!!!... I get loads of £5off vouchers when I fill up with petrol at their garage!!!... (5,000ish points per voucher!!) :D

Plus their prices ain't too bad either!!, I find Tesco's can be a bit pricy some times! and Tesco's in Swindon has been like a Building site for the last year!!!... its like shopping in Liddle/Aldi the way its laid out to cope!!!... (I've not been back in for about 6 months!!)

*May be biased as i have shares in the company. :D

:D

I'd have to say that Waitrose > * if it wasn't for your biased statement ;)

Out of those Morrisons (Safeway) and Tesco - I'd go for Tesco, their "finest" stuff is relatively ok.
