Tesco or Morrisons?

I think you should move Asda lower down the food chain*

Went in our local Asda in Winsford the other week and I thought I'd walked onto the set of Deliverance

* did you like that? ;)

Produce is awful quality at Morrisons. I quite often stick my hand straight through fruit and veg.

Doughnuts are fantastic - especially Chocolate Orange flavour :D

A lot of good deals and loads of BOGOF's (over 150 per week I think the ad is)

Difference in price between Tesco and Morrisons is usually pennies per item so not worth it to worry about it.

Loyalty schemes wise Tesco is miles ahead. Yeah Morrisons have their silly little 'Morrisons Miles' card but it requires the purchase of 333 litres of fuel which is gonna cost you.

Tesco's Clubcard is a total winner however (imo) as it is accepted at places other than Tesco and you get vouchers quarterly which adds up fast (1 point per pound, 100 points = £1 voucher)

Management wise....well I'd better not go there ;)

Other way around by me. The local Tesco is hard to describe without using a word that I'm not allowed to here ;)
Even the people who work there admit it, lol.

Aldi believe it or not, buy a lot of their food from M&S.

I disagree that buying from Waitrose is a waste of time... That's where I do my weekly shop most of the time, and do my convenience shopping from Sainsbury's. Waitrose to me certainly feels as higher quality, though admitedly the price is somewhat high, but whether or not it is psychological or not, I find the taste and presentation of the food much better, and to me that's important. :) Obviously branded things are the same no matter where you buy them, but shop brand stuff is usually better at Waitrose.

Being a former Tesco employee (team leader 4tw) I would say go there, but I've never done a big shop (+£60) in Morrisons, so I guess I can't comment on the OP.

This is gonna open a can, but.. Asda is only 'cheaper' than Tesco etc. because it's based on their own range of products (I.e Asda's Own Beans Vs. Tesco Value Beans) rather than a overall product-product comparison (usually).

Tesco management are either trained monkeys, or they're working on the principle that 'less is more' - They expect the world from their employees, and show nothing in return

I very much doubt that, they probbably buy from the same supplier as M&S, but then again so do tesco, asda etc etc.
