Tesco or Morrisons?

I saw some t health program on the tv and Morrisons was the worst out of all supermarkets for health, ie the ready made meals were packed with salt etc. That puts me off really, Co-op was the best if i recall, but sainsbury and tesco were 3rd I think.

Personally Id pay a few more quid to have better stuff.

Though obv that doesnt apply to branded stuff.

You sure? I sawa something about sausages. Co-op contained the most crap and morrisons were the best.

Having shopped in both, Tesco was marginally more expensive but then all the Morrisons food we have ever bought was absolute cat poo.

I'd rather chew cardboard than eat Morrisons, plus the shops are badly laid out, its pretty much a dump shop for ******.

Morrisons!!!... I get loads of £5off vouchers when I fill up with petrol at their garage!!!... (5,000ish points per voucher!!) :D

Plus their prices ain't too bad either!!, I find Tesco's can be a bit pricy some times! and Tesco's in Swindon has been like a Building site for the last year!!!... its like shopping in Liddle/Aldi the way its laid out to cope!!!... (I've not been back in for about 6 months!!)

a lot better now, all sorted and the place is 33% bigger than before :| Go there when bored lol can waste an hr walking around.

I always thought tesco were the cheapest, for the items I buy I look at the value end, and they all seem cheapo, I mean whos goin to beat 20 fish fingers for 14p? Or something stupid

70cl of vodka can be had for 6.23, 2 litres of diet coke/lemonade 17p, the cheapness never ends

I work at morrisons... but i would say tesco is prob better in terms of prices and range although we do seem to have loadsa buy one get one frees...

As for checking out fit birds... theres no place like ASDA.. ;) The place is like a chick magnet... All morrisons attracts is OAPs it seems :o

Morrisons is good at the Wellington store but the local one is rubbish, it was converted from a small safeway I think and its in a ***** area, it fully lives up to the ***** comments in this thread. The good one on the other hand is very good, its pretty damn large and has a decent cafe in, and a pharmacy and jewellers. Layout is good, prices are good, quality is good, especially the chocolate brownies in the large tubs, they rock.

Tesco on the other hand are overpriced, probably because of all the annoying plasma tv's dotted around the store constantly bombarding you with Tesco this and Tesco that, its like some kind of large corporation in one of their stores, you just want some food and you get car insurance, loans, crappy electronics etc.. rammed down your throat constantly.

Around 12-1pm today i went to the new Tesco Extra which opened this morning and i was pretty impressed by it, Nice simple lay out with straight wide ailse(spelling) and loads of choice.

I did'nt buy much as i just poped into to check it out to see if it was worth going there rather than the tesco which is abit closer as that tends to get busy and some times what im after is sold out (soft bread rolls) also in the local tesco the ailse are abit awkwarded to get around and cheese's me off but this new tesco extra's car park was almost full and i had no problems walking around :D

I usualy shop in tesco / lidl (some great offers here) and they are pretty good value for money, i bought some very nice tomatoes on the vine (you pick what you want) in lidl today and they was nice and red and tasty and good price to.

It was a bouta year back, it was testing ready meals, it was definitely co op winning. I rem the statement they made afterwards from co op saying how they were pleased to win as they believed in health of the customer blah de blah.

Though if you saw that then it shows those tests are pretty much random.

I find the fresh produce of far better quality form Tesco compared to Morrisons but I always seem to spend a small fortune when I shop at Tesco.
