you have understood, so terse replies are demonstrably ok. - despite replies from less linguistically capable.

with the prevalence of SUV's I think people's reference point on good car suspension/handling, which can give driving pleasure, have declined;
remember when the first apple phones came out and people said that's an intuitive touch interface, and, how it should always have been - the converse of what is being lost with suv's.

yes ok it waas childish - but not had a coffee yet
-in years to come when FSD is capable&legal people will look back on steering wheels as prehistoric functionality, much like iphone/touchscreen evolution,
but, I think we are loosing driving pleasure versus the nimbleness manifested on old saloon cars.

All of the diverse criticism of model Y ride quality/suspension can't be unfounded - not a compromise I'd be ready to accept, I remember fathers comments being driven in F10 with M suspension

johnny - bot-splaining - cognitive dissonance relevance - aka buyers remorse , you must be familiar with that in jaguar (sales ?)
people modify their car purchase criteria restrospectively in the light of the ownership experience, to avoid thought process that they have made bad decisions;
One of the main roles of car advertising is to re-enforce for existing owners that they made a good decision

I wouldn’t take the “diverse criticism” with much gravitas until you do.

Indeed. If you look through some of the threads filled with comments from actual owners (example), most are very happy with the car. There are some comments along the lines of the firm ride, but most people there seem to find it perfectly fine even so.
 
Also lots of delivered cars are coming with PSI around 46-48 etc - lowering it to 42 makes much more sense.

Tesla have confirmed my trade in valuation - Insane....

Paid £37.4k in Sept 19 - Trade in offer - £36.4k :cool:

£1000 Depreciation for 2.5 years driving and 14k miles.

Documents uploaded and everything completed for now - May delivery expected.

That's how to buy a car - 30 minutes online yesterday, order online, upload documents, confirmed trade in value after some pictures sent - all done.

yes cash, but using the EST Loan in Scotland (6 years interest free £35k for electric car) - took loan via my LTD company.

So ball park figures.

Balance on loan is £21k currently - Trade in value is £36.4k

I'm just trading in car against Model Y, will fund £20k cash from business to pay difference. That way I just keep the loan going at £486 a month for 3.5 years, and then that's it.

Also not forgetting the FYA 100% relief for business again so whilst £20k cash coming from business - will be saving around £10k in Corporation tax.

Total no brainer financially.

I got values from WBAC/Motorway and Tesla - Just went into my Telsa account and requested trade in - popped up with a value at the end of the process.

Weirdly the page now seems to be saying that the lead time for cars is longer than the valid period for trade in values....

I just followed this below:

Tesla makes trading in your car simple and convenient. Log into your Tesla Account and follow the steps in the Trade-In section. You will then be prompted to complete a self-inspection of your trade in car. You will receive a trade-in offer within 48 hours, via email.

I usually see 2 to 3 Model 3 on my way to work but saw my first Model Y today :)

Recently saw R Symons (EV specialists) manged 300 miles in theirs before a neighbor reversed in to it. He was not happy to say the least. They have a YT channel if you were interested.

Collected a new Model Y LR to replace 69 Model 3 LR today.

First impressions, much better put together than Model 3 and is painted properly! Wind noise greatly reduced compared to 3, boot is huge in comparison and much more usable back seats.

It passes more road noise into the cabin than it really should and the ride is less settled than it should be, that's without sorting the tyre pressures which were at 49 PSI when they should be 42 PSI which may help. What you get for that is very little body roll and a SUV that doesn't feel like it is wallowing around (looking at you X3). Given the choice between a less settled ride and wallowing, I'd rather avoid wallowing.

Very happy with the swap which cost us very little thanks to slow depreciation on Model 3.
