Test Drive Unlimited Gameplay Thread

God dammit I have another 4 hours or dull and pointless work!

I was having fun last night though toying with someone in a Saleen S7 Twin tub. He couldn't keep up with me in the twisties which was some feat seeing as I was only in a stage 3 tuned RS4. OF course he thundered past on the straights wih my car topping out at 170 but as soon as he hit a corner....oh dear.

After that I thought I would test drive the saleen and my god is it rubbish. Yes its quick but put it into a corner and you are lucky if you see the other side going forwards.

Loving my stage 3 tuned skyline at the moment though.

Also found out if you buy a boggo mustang coupe for $25000 and spend $60000 on stage 3 tuning you come out the other side with a saleen mustang which is pretty damn quick.

Trying to pick myself a nice group G car now though to do the classic races. Any suggestions?!

does anyone know if when you change your name, does it update your friends with the new name, or do you have to re-register with them?

Aye there are two types of tuning for the Mustang, Ford and Saleen. The Saleen tuning takes the car from a class F to class C whereas the Ford tuning leaves it at class F.

You actually just reminded me to buy another one and get it Saleen tuned :p

:p Nice! The only little niggle I had with it is that it changed the class of the car. I would imagine it won't be the quickest class C car in the game (although I havn't checked them all)
 
GUYS I KEEP TELLING YOU I HAVE SENT OUT INVITES TO THE CLUB BUT THE MAJORITY OF THE CLUB STUFF IS STILL BORKED WITH A PATCH DUE AROUND TODAY - BUT ALL WEEK I HAVE BEEN TRYING.

I take it that the tuning is different for the convertible and the saloon? I'm looking at the same performance level for stage 2 and 3 on my convertible, only difference with stage 3 is cosmetic...

Oh, and better ahndling and breaking from the Ford tuning...

[edit] Yup :D Stage 3 tuning just converted a Mustang Coupe into a Saleen S281 Extreme Coupe :)

Last i looked 5million, but done millionaires challenge and tonnes of stuff since, my guess between 9-11million though ill check later
 
Arghhhhhh three of the time challenges are narking me off.

The Triumph one. Can do it in the time but always somehow pick up 20 driving points (7.75 seconds pen). Worse thing is the last 6 times I've tried it and I hit or gone off road at all but somehow still picked up 20 driving points grrr.

And as for Tantalus. :mad:
 
Finally got around to doing the tour of island in my enzo in a time of 43'55"24 and i wouldnt want to do that race too often but i have the millionaire's challenge to do yet :eek: .
