dont bother about any of that, just drive around, have a cruise along the coastal roads :D
 
hmm I can't seem to get FSAA working? :(

I can enable/disable HDR ok, but the jagged lines are quite bad :confused:

Also the server keeps disconnecting :(

Check your firewall settings if it keeps disconnecting

Mine connected originally but kept dropping out - turned out that the Windows built-in firewall was blocking it
 
Yeah i duno why but some things not all though have some jaggies which is annoying. I presume its a fault with the game not being able to smooth them when aa is on.
 
The FSAA option doesn't work for me at all :(

I click it but it stays on disabled. I tried forcing FSAA in my driver options but the game just disables it. I tried without HDR on, but it just doesn't work at all. Yet my bro is on FSAA x4 high quality settings on his Geforce 6600GT :eek: :(
 
What drivers are you using?

I had this problem with TR:Legend and it turned out that I needed to update my drivers to enable it (not sure why this made a difference but there you go)

I've got the option on my X1900XT - I'm using Cats 7.2
 
I'm using the Omega 6.07 drivers. I tried the catalyst 7.2 but it messed up my cs:s and I ended up re-installing windows as it was doing wierd stuff, even when uininstalled like enabling HDR + Specular lighting in cs:s even tho my config had it disabled. Was also corrupting textures etc :(

Just tried installing under Vista 32bit and when it asks for my cd key it stutters so badly it's painful to try and input it :(

No idea what's up, tried XP SP2 compatability mode too but no go..

Also, I keep saying i've got TDU news, where do I read it?? :confused:
 
the missions are on the map. they wont show until you've driven past them. you can set the filter so it only show certain challenges eg race/time/speed/.

also more missions become availble when you increase your level to pro/expert/champion and so on. you can check your progress in your house and it will list your achievements and what you need to do to unlock more points. also you can check the news when at home also. :)

Press M, which will bring up a map full of challenges ;)

got an 8800 by any chance? Major issues with 8800's and x-fi's so if you've got one or both you may well need to wait for a patch or updated drivers or both....
 
Probably in the minority here but really do not like this game so far.

Very slow performance and buggy as hell.

Cannot believe this is yet another poor console port. With my spec it should be smooth but not matter what I do even with vsync disabled it runs poorly.

Very disappointed as it also has a load of bugs like sound & voice cut outs and the controls need too much attention for my liking.
 
Just ordered this myself for 17.99. Must admit, didn't think much of the demo on the 360 - but the graphics on the PC version tempted me too much! I'm now half tempted to get a steering wheel too - anyone know whats considered the best these days?

I wouldn't bother with a steering wheel tbh, it would be wasted on TDU. I can't see how anybody could drive something like a stage 3 enzo with a wheel flat out...the action is simply too fast and would probably result in either a broken wheel, or lifting your desk off the ground every 2 seconds trying to corner so fast :p

that's what's putting me off getting the full game. i played the beta non stop for a few days and then i was bored ********. in the end i just cruised around taking in the scenery. the races and the challenges get tedious after awhile espcecially the model/hitchhiker ones. what's that all about? you have to be quick AND careful..... :rolleyes: :p
