Test Drive Unlimited Released Tomoz

The server started working properly for me now, was just driving along and *BAM* people appeared as they should.

Best thing to do if you want to meet up is name a fairly remote spot and wait around there, occasionally checking your map to see if the other person is there...sometimes you can be in the same place but not the same "session" so you'll see them on the map but not in front of you.

:)

Yep, people just appeared for me after about an hour of playing. Although a lot of the time im on my own, so ive resorted to online races.

Got another problem though, when trying to do missions 'Gear Up' and 'Gear Down' wont work on my 360 pad. Got them assigned to A and X . Quite annoying as I like manual gears a lot more then auto.Hopefully will be sorted out this patch.

Overall though I'm liking the game as i knew i would having played it in Beta. It's the sort of direction i always wanted Car/Racing games to go.

I've got a free one and it works fine

thx for comfirming, as for people sying that they are not seeing any other drivers, could this be because its first day of release and people being at work etc not being home to play it yet

reckon it will fill up in a week or so?

Theres obvious problems with the TDU server at the moment, i just hope atari do something about it. I've seen the members online at about 1500 people, yet can only see 20-30 at most on the map. Also the update time of the map is very slow, when the servers are lagging. The map shows someone on a road, and when you spawn on them, there 6 miles away.

i shall soon see for myself, going to pick this up after work tonite

can u form a group/guild/clan or what ever they calling them?

maybe get a ocuk one ? dont no if it been mentions earlier buti not trauling thru 15 pages :)

I have got this game and its already driving me nuts!

I cannot seem to login. It wants a valid Gamespy account, Fine...Got one (now 2) and i have entered em both and it either says Nickname invalid or it is in use with another password.

Cant seem to get by it!

Any ideas?

TDU stores a key.txt file somewhere in your NT profile.

I cant remember of hand (im at work at moment), but take a look around C:\documents and settings\%your username%\local settings\application data

or do a search for a file called 'key.txt'

you might need to delete it and start over.

particularly if you took part in the open/closed beta. (iirc the beta uninstall did not remove this file correctly, but it had no problems removing the contents of the root of the C:\ drive lol!!!)

the gamespy nick is very fussy.
make sure you have no spaces or any special characters such as -

Only just received my copy this morning, and already it's annoying the hell out of me, it's ArmA all over again. :(

I've got a BSOD when saving (although completely randomly), keep whining on about NV4_DISP.DLL (grpahics), yet had no problems with anything else.

Next I lost my savegame, well first it made my online account was mde into an offline account and then it wiped out all my progress.

This game will drive me nuts. You would have thought just create a name and go, but it has to be way more complicated, the error i get when using "Pyroboy" is that "its in use with another password" but its my email, my password that i created, how can it be in use with another?

Have you checked that you've got the case right?

I had same problem with setting 'mort'

it wouldn't accept it whatever i tried.

it seems the atari/gamespy servers have a seperate list of nicks in addition to those nicks associated to your actual gamespy ID, and if, in my case, mort has already been used (Even though this is my actual gamespy ID) then it refuses it.

I love this game, but envy 360 users with the live service. Perhaps it would have been better for Atari/Eden to wait and use this game with Windows Live for Vista.
