I've got an X-Fi soundcard and had the sound issues at first, it all sounds much better once I turned off the 24-bit crystaliser.
 
i need help with a gayspy account.....just need to know do you have to pay for a gayspy account in order 2 play tdu online.....u see just got it today and am having real trouble with nicnames and passwords.....even tho they are correct......i never had the beta version......do you have 2 install gamespy on your drive or sumet?

the game has not asked me for cd key yet either?.....should i make a offline profile then try online......it keeps saying the nickname is already in use and password does not match.....this is the third gayspy account i have made with three diff emails adds.....

Still, bloody great game! Getting a bit of slowdown, though I think I could really do with a format.

Specs are: AMD Athlon 3700+ @2.5GHz
2x BFG 7800GT OC in SLI
2GB geil dual channel.

Play at 1152x768, high gfx, no AA. Get pretty bad lag in car show rooms and at home, but looks like everyone does. Would really like to up it to 1600x1200 with high graphics.
Also, in my nvidia control panel, in the settings for sli, which setting should I use? Alternate frame rendering? Split frame rendering? Which would give me best results? Any tips to optimise the game more? editing the ini file if there is one?

Thanks for any help, hope to see some of you round the island at some point! :)
 
Was a closed beta tester, and reading through the last few pages, it sounds like they haven't made many improvements since then? Would I be far from the mark?

Any word of any patches coming up?

It's a good game, just quite samey. Cruising's nice, which is what my young lad likes doing on an Augusta - might have to buy it for him ;)

so does that mean i can put any nickname in the just the email and password has 2 be correct??

but i thought you had to use your gayspy nick???

im on a x4200 x1950pro agp running at 1600 max everything no hdr and get hardly any stutters while racing.....this is in sp
 
i think you have to have a gamespy account for it to work first online.

i cant believe so many people have trouble with this... its not like this is the only game that uses gamespy. if you havnt got a gamespy account... where have you been!

mine worked first time, and allways online
 
now it says please check network status......3 hours and i still can connect.....and also after buying a house and winning the first race....i am a pro and ive unlocked loadsa stuff :rolleyes:

may have 2 reinstall for the fourth time
 
i got tdu this morning and its a good game apart from the major lag. I have a fairly fast pc that should run tdu easily, but i get major slow downs and stuttering anywhere on all low settings. Does anyone know how to get a few more fps?
 
The nickname is purely for your name ingame (shows above your car, and in missions/races.) Two people can't have the same name because these nicknames are used for the global rankings.

To play online you MUST have a gamespy account. Just make a new account (doesn't cost anything) and then sign into TDU.

do u need to pay for an account to play online? i have a free one, that all i need for online play?
