TF2 - ocuk clan Try number 2? <3

Got a question for those that have played spy quite a bit.

I was messing around last night playing as spy, mainly because its loads of fun not because i'm any good mind you. Now my question is to do with placing your sapper on turrets etc. It seems to take ages for it to register what i'm trying to do. Am i suppsoed to stand there for a few secs with the mouse button held? Keep clicking away until it goes on? Or maybe I need to be at the right angle (as I notice an outline appears when you get close)? They just don't seem to go on too easily..... any ideas?

and on a side note, does anyone else find jumping onto a game of 2fort insta respawn can be strangely satisfying every now and again....? :p

A outline should appear next to the sentry gun (SG) when you are standing beside it and when you have your sapper equipped. Then just click once to place the sapper. Bear in mind that the engineers can knock the sapper off with 2 wrench hits - so you may have to sap the SG repeatedly.

This video helped me quite a bit when first starting with the spy. Playing Spy is quite a steep learning curve. When you are first learning you won't be much good to your team, but after a while you can devastate teams almost single handedly.

Although I'm out of practice of late I've got something like 100hrs as Spy so don't hesitate to ask any questions! :)

Thanks, I'll watch that video tonight when I've got some free time. I guess my problem with placing the sapper was just not quite getting it right, getting up close and clicking at the right time. I can test that out tonight.

Gotta say I did enjoy playing as spy. Finished the game mid-table but might have done better if i'd got my sapper placing working properly.
 
Hey, I've been popping onto the server recently it fun getting beaten by you guys lots!
I seem to end up on the side whose defence crumbles at the sign of an attack.
The other night I think we lost a round in about 40 seconds it seemed :(


Quick Q, why isn't 2fort on the rotation? I've always loved that map.
