TF2 - ocuk clan Try number 2? <3

Tf2 installed coming on yay.

Just played crysis and it runs nicely on high, looks amazing with an easy overclock but it just ain't tf2.

Some good games last night and some nice teamwork.

Since the match against FM is coming up soon is it worth setting the server to include the 2maps (gravelpit & dustbowl) and pit the the OcUK team who are playing FM against everyone else?

Don't know if its easy to do or not?

I spent a hour running around on the maps and i only had somebody join me 10 minutes before i had to get back to the painting :(

That sounds a bit random - what do you do?

Take pictures of escalators... DUH :D:D:D

Work on the underground as a graduate engineer, need to head to heathrow tonight during engineering hours when all the pesky people are locked out of the station, allowing us access to work to our hearts content :D

teamspeak is very simple to set up, merely adding a server.. deciding whether you want to use push to talk or voice activation... and connecting. (in my experience at least)

Push to talk? Will that allow me to map a button within TF2 for instance to activate the mic?

Also, does TF2 let you differentiate between team chat and general chat etc?

using "push to talk" within teamspeak allows you to press a button to activate your microphone. The same as it would within tf2 using the inbuilt voice chat.

Within TF2 if you choose to talk its a server set variable as to whether your voice is broadcast to everyone on the server, or just your own team.

OK. So I have no control over that matter then as chat is generally team based, any general chat however must still be typed. So the only decision to make is whether its voice or button activation. Is my understanding of that about right?

It sounds simple enough, will give it a blast tonight.

well in game you have no choice as to whether the voice-chat is team based or server based, on teamspeak you could have 2 separate channels / servers to be sure that voice-chat is team based however enforcing that would be pretty difficult.

But most servers in my experience don't have all-talk on (where both teams can hear you).

Always great when you join a new server and rattle though some tactic ideas during the setup and then a wrong coloured tab at side pipes up "you do know we can hear you, don't you?"

Fail :(
