Is everyone sure that Germany will win? I'm not seeing any bets for Argentina.
 
Argentina could win this but it would be a miracle. Against the Dutch they defended super deep and I expect them to do the same today but the Germans are far too good for them if they turn up.
 
My final fun bets of the World Cup, couldn't be bothered securing a profit, and letting my £25 pre match bet on Argies to win ride.

£5 on each of these

Slapped a fiver on Muller anytime against my better judgement!

Cashed out my original Argentina bet for just over double. Still got Muller anytime and Argentina 1st Germany second bets.

Was going to back Germany at 1.8 at full time to lift the cup, forgot my betdaq password and on my phone so didn't bother. Oh well, still a great World Cup from a betting pov for me.

Gutted Argentina didn't finish it off for me. Missed some cracking chances.

I should explain how I got there..

  • £50 on Man City to win EPL @6/1 (returned £350)
  • £350 on Hamilton to win British GP EW@5/2 (returned £960)
  • £1000 on Germany to lift the World Cup @7/10 (returned £1700)

Originally I only bet £50 as I had a £50 free bet, so I was only doing it for the lulz. Things are a bit more serious now, so I'm cashing out.

It also helped that I trusted the Bing predictor (100% accuracy!!) that said Germany would win.

My goalscorer acca only gave me £180.98 :( oh well still good amount from £5 which was due to Ronaldo/Dzeko being level with 2-3 others on goals.

Very ballsy!

When I get my winnings, I instantly cash it out to Paypal. At most i'd rebet half on 'mostly guaranteed' wins.

Obviously the more you bet, the better value the smaller bets are. At one point prior to the hype, Germany was on about 1.2x returns. So it is hardly worth it for my usual £1-£5. But if you through £1000 at it, you make £200.

I'm glad I wasn't taken over by Gambling blindness, as something inside me made me a little unsure Germany would win in 90min. Spread my bets and walked away with £45 for £10 free bet investment.

Not sure I could ever bet over £10 without getting a pang of guilt!
