Well I've had two surgeries on my left knee including an ACL reconstruction a year and a half ago so that knee will never quite be the same and every little helps. I have a hinged Shock Doctor knee brace but it's not very practical, comfortable and can't even get a full bend for a squat with the hinges anyway. Also feel a little silly wearing it due to the size.

Actually just nabbed a XXL Rehband 5mm for £7ish on Amazon warehouse after the 20% off offer that's on there. Another XXL left for a tenner so be around £8 with the discount if anyone is that size.

Just bear in mind that knee braces do nothing to support a healthy knee; practically, you are keeping it warm and tubi-grip does the same job for much cheaper.

Already been through that post surgery and they were happy with everything, just looking for that little bit of extra support.

If you need extra support, then your rehab isn't complete.

Without turning this into a medical thread, I would get the imbalances and motor patterns fixed because it sounds like there is unresolved stuff in there.

In short: don't buy a strap because they offer support... Because they don't. Buy them to keep your knee warm. If you feel they help then great, but you should never rely on "supports" for your training.

Hey guys, what would be the going rate for a friend selling his garage weights? He's got:

Oly barbell
20 x 2
15 x 2
10 x 2
5 x 2
2.5 x 2
Bench and stand combo

Flecks of rust but all in decent nick. I want to advise him how much to list it on Gumtree it for, or maybe buy it myself

E - no collars, he uses some socks tied into knots which I've changed to clove hitches for him (I know, but it's been fine in the past) :p

IIRC £1-£1.5 per kg is pretty standard for normal oly discs. Bar, bench and stands all depends on the quality.

Socks!? just spend a tenner on some collars!

Yeah I just about had a heart attack when I saw them and said as much but they're not mine so can't do much :p. Cool, thanks, will let him know.

I've decided I want to start bulking up, as there is pretty much nothing on me :p Upper body mainly as my legs (genetically) are pretty bulky. No training and I could leg press 300% body weight last time I tried :p

Currently 5'7 or so, 64kg.

Can anyone suggest an app that I can use to track sets/reps and weights i'm using for each exercise so I can see what I did last time and whether to increase weight etc.

I also know that squats are an all-body exercise, would it be a good idea to throw a squat session in most weeks to help build up slightly in lower body too?

Stronglifts with chin-ups.

Push Press looks decent! On my list, cheers man!

Just don't drop the bar on your head. :)
