Starting to buy a second set of gym gear ready for the summer. Forgot how much all this costs. New belt, shoes, fractional plates etc.

Have bought new Metcons, the 8s, may keep those for my home gym and also a gym bag.

Bought some Large gym clothes to get started, none fitted. XL it is, still a bit tight at the top :D

myprotein, bulk, bodybuilding warehouse.
I would say cheap doesn't necessarily equal good :D
Once my current stuff from amazon runs out I think I'll be stumping up for a recurring package from Thorne.
Edit*
would suggest people look up "clearwhey isolate" too, game changer apparently!

Week 3 of stronglifts - solo this morning as my mate is out with COVID. All good so far, started fairly low to build it up as in no rush to hit the numbers I want for the year ahead.

Still need to clean up eating a bit - Really struggle with Whey shakes as I've used them on and off for years and they really give me the "boak" these days.... Will replace them probably with a handful of nuts/chicken etc.

Clearwhey from MP will fix this, its basically juice!

I totally agree, which is why i stick to basic whey, or whey isolate and go for best value.

My Metcon 8s arrive tomorrow. Looking forward to trying them out. Still on the 4s or so I think.
I'm in the reebok camp and bought the newly released Nano x3 last month.
I was using Meindl running shoes previously :o
Not sure but whilst doing star jumps the other day I've twisted my bloody knee now.
Those flat shoes are what I'm blaming :D:cry:

Any ideas if this is any good? Seems the cheapest

SPORTS FUEL ANABOLIC WHEY MATRIX - VANILLA - 5KG = £40 + £5 delivery

Wouldn't bothered personally, it's a blend that doesn't tell you the ratios so it's almost certainly mostly Soy with a sprinkle of whey and casein. It's also got glutamine peptides and has therefore been "spiked" meaning you'll be getting less than the claimed 80% complete protein content.

Thanks for the tip Tom_e

Ive gone for myProtein Isolate (paying more now that i did in 2020 for 5kg!!!!!!)

Finally working from a 170kg 1RM bench. Consistently adding 1kg every 2 weeks which is a level I’m happy at as long as it keeps progressing.

My new Metcon 8s have arrived :)

Squat session on Monday to put them through their paces. They feel far firmer and more stable than my previous set, but those are quite worn. Hope they wear as well as my previous set that will now be retired to summer workouts when away.

Final episode of the Fitness / exercise / nutrition series just been uploaded..
These have probably been THE most useful podcasts I've listened to in regard to training and eating better.

Well, finally back after the gym and enjoying it again after being hit n miss last year.

Found one near my that has a lot of equipment to play with :D Although back to working on my form for starters!

It's absolutely horrendous. A friend of mine picked up a bag a couple of months back, it's like sawdust in consistency no matter how you mix it. Cows milk, almond, water, whatever else, it doesn't matter. Even putting it through a blender doesn't do much to help. Then there's the background flavour of stale cardboard.

I'd rather attempt to eat a live cow in a field than ever touch that stuff again, it's cheap for a reason.
