THE 50K CHALLENGE: NEW MUSTANG ON THE WAY, BUT WOULD 50K BE BETTER SPENT ON ANOTHER MARQUE?

I'm interested to see how the SVR turns out.

Still hate that silly wing though, ruins the beautiful F-Type Coupé arse.

I could have got a blue one without the wing, so clearly the guy who specified that one agrees with you but for me I was only buying an SVR if it had:
- Electric blue colour
- fixed carbon wing
- carbon exterior pack

Mine also has carbon roof, but this was not a must as it is very rare option anyway.

But the wing was a must for me and retrofitting it is extremely hard if not impossible to do and would cost around £6000 to do so, carbon exterior pack is quite costly too, hence why I really wanted a car with those options.

To my knowledge there are now no blue SVR with carbon pack and carbon wing for sale currently, no idea on how many Jaguar sold in that colour/spec but it cannot be many considering they sold to my knowledge less than 200 SVR's since launch in the UK making them an extremely rare car and very rare in electric blue all the bits.

Those who prefer something more classy, I did find this:
https://www.pistonheads.com/classif.../other-models/jaguar-ftype-v8-svr-2dr/8127841

Looks a lot more subtle, though like you say based on how subtle/classy this was specified, they should have deleted the fixed wing too. Still I doubt they will ever sell this car, its not on Jaguars website, its not on autotrader and on PH it is not even in the F-type section and then the interior colour is probably not to everyone taste though I think it looks quite OK.

But for me I wanted louded and in your face, hence the blue with all the carbon. :)

so it that it then for the car ? i mean is it as good as it gets at stock or do you have plans for it ? :)

As long as nothing goes wrong and I am in the car the only plans are:
- Get the calipers re-painted yellow, I simply hate the red, looks nasty against the blue.
- Gloss black wheels I am not sure on but in the flesh they do look nice, but I think I do prefer the satin grey that was the other colour option from factory, so maybe get the wheels re-painted in a few months to this.
- Polish it, lol. :D
- Kill the Pzero, fit PS4S all round.
- I might see if I can get union jacks on the spoiler end plates like Lotus do on the Exiges.
- DRIVE IT! :D

That is it, I really cannot think of anything, yes I could tune it but at risk of warranty, so is it really worth tuning 576HP upto around 650HP and invalidate the warranty, I do not think so and the car felt might quick and super strong, like my old Saleen but even faster due to the gearbox.

It is a bit like if Ford released the GT350 / 350R in the UK, they are so sorted from factory there is not much to do, apart from maybe some minor customisation on the styling.

Thing is stock it looks nice, sits nice, sounds insane so not much to do.
