THE 50K CHALLENGE: NEW MUSTANG ON THE WAY, BUT WOULD 50K BE BETTER SPENT ON ANOTHER MARQUE?

As long as nothing goes wrong and I am in the car the only plans are:
- Get the calipers re-painted yellow, I simply hate the red, looks nasty against the blue.
- Gloss black wheels I am not sure on but in the flesh they do look nice, but I think I do prefer the satin grey that was the other colour option from factory, so maybe get the wheels re-painted in a few months to this.
- Polish it, lol. :D
- Kill the Pzero, fit PS4S all round.
- I might see if I can get union jacks on the spoiler end plates like Lotus do on the Exiges.
- DRIVE IT! :D

That is it, I really cannot think of anything, yes I could tune it but at risk of warranty, so is it really worth tuning 576HP upto around 650HP and invalidate the warranty, I do not think so and the car felt might quick and super strong, like my old Saleen but even faster due to the gearbox.

It is a bit like if Ford released the GT350 / 350R in the UK, they are so sorted from factory there is not much to do, apart from maybe some minor customisation on the styling.

Thing is stock it looks nice, sits nice, sounds insane so not much to do.

sounds good then.
give you 4 months before you chop it in :)

Doubt it, would say I have my M3 though there is really nothing much more to do with that either, apart from drive it. :D

I can think of something you should do to it.

Peel off the carbon fibre roof wrap, and have a full carbon fibre roof panel bonded in. Should have change from £800, and will shave 10KG off of the highest point of the car, lowering the centre of gravity for track use. ;)

i'll give you 8 months and you'll be bored of this, you'll sell it and buy another Mustang.... this thread is pure comedy i love it ha ha

Its not a wrap, both my cars have real carbon roofs. :)

ha ha Gibbo is mentioning the GT350............. i'll give you 8 months and you'll be bored of this, you'll sell it and buy another Mustang.... this thread is pure comedy i love it ha ha

It was meant as comparison for buying a sorted car from factory, if Ford released RHD 350 tomorrow, I'd not order one, prefer the SVR.

I'd not replace the SVR with a 350 because the SVR does everything better, particular on a UK road.

I will consider another Mustang when S650 is announced in 2020/21 at which point I will either get that or find a 2018 cheap and made just add it to the collection, right now I have no plans to move SVR on in short or long term, may just keep it long term and just add a 3rd car in a few years time. :)

I swear I remember there being an uproar about you wrapping your roof... :p

Yes about a year or two ago, if you check the M3 thread, you will see it had a proper carbon roof bonded in a couple of months ago and is now sat in the body shop having a full respray.

I would probably avoid getting into a heated discussion with Gibbo... :D

yea i know :D

Gibbo isn't the type that can buy an expensive car and be truly satisfied....... when he talks about his BMW he is very proud of it, because he worked on it a lot and thus formed an emotional bond with it............... he's much more hands on and a builder than he gives himself credit for, it would be much more fun for him and the members here too !

I get the impression he pays for everything to be done to it for him, which is what I'd do if I could afford it. :p

Depends what I can feasibly do myself in the drive way, for example I rebuilt the engine myself and on the Mustang I pretty much did it all myself. Working on cars I have no issue with and certain stuff that a lot of mechanics cannot do I do myself to ensure it has being done correctly.

Considering he took bottom end of engine apart on his m3 on his drive I beg to differ.
Did a lot of the work on his Saleen Mustang too from memory

Thank you guys, Acme does not know me, you guys do.

I was modding cars myself when Acme was in dipers. :)

Yes on the Mustang I supercharged it myself, did the suspension and brake system myself, infact I think I did the entire car myself. Similar for the M3 also. New Mustang I did most myself as well apart from the times I felt lazy. :D

yes Gibbo, i'm not trolling you at all, i feel this is what where you heart lies and the same with me too........... with ``Factory Five`` everything is supplied in kit form brand new, good assembly instructions, and they have an extensive configurator, the choice of engine etc is virtually endless.

for me it would be the HOT ROD, but for you the GTM SUPERCAR....................just something to think about that's all
