Def pre-render. I don't care how good they have gotten at programming for it. It will never have graphics like that. Thas probably xbox screenies if anything.

Version Tested: XBOX
Preview Published: 03.01.2006

Its not available for the 360. The above quote is from the review so I suppose the screens are xbox too.

Ive seen rolling footage of this game being played and it looked far better then it should, these guys are not your average development team :)

I'll tell you when I get the demo disk how it looks on the ps2

I didnt say 360.

Expect drab textures and jagged edges and popup then :)

I was just clarifying that its not on 360. Iam downloading a 96meg trailer for it now but Iam pretty sure thats not the case.

The last shots were released last september and these were published 3 days ago apparently.
Again am not sure how close they are to the real thing but previous video of the game being played looked good

I think I need to change my drivers again, They don't Like Militia :(

Get that once a minute or so, only lasts a second but damn distracting. Only game/map it does it on too.

No way are those PS2 screenies. Methinks either xbox or maybe even PC dev kit screens @ the highest possible res. Another explanation is they are photoshopped screenies from a HDTV photo which has upscaled the console via progressive scan. Looks a little like FEAR!

They will be dev kit screens, as the resolution is far too high for the PS2. The demo is quite good fun ( it's on this months OPS2 mag dvd ) and does look pretty nice. Just imagine those screens more pixelated with blurrier textures and you have the PS2 version.

I assume that's also from the Crashday Demo, looks amazing.

Just checking out the info on a game site about it:

There are 7 modes within the game to offer players a wide selection of varying gameplay elements:

* Stunt Show - Impress the audience with insane stunts, long jumps and blistering crashes. Design your own stunt courses or choose from a wide selection of ready made tracks.

* Racing - Be the first to cross the finish line in hotly fought races around varying circuits and grand prix tracks.

* Wrecking Match - Battle your opponents by any means necessary. Choose between weapons or the crashing power of your car to bring them down.

* Hold The Flag - Collect the flag from the track or steal it from a foe. Once you get it, carry it through checkpoints to beat your opponents and show off your dodging skills.

* Pass The Bomb - You're stuck with a bomb and it's going to blow up. The only way to stop yourself from being blown into tiny little bits is to pass it on to another player within the time limit, but watch out for the others as they'll be out to get you too.

* Bomb Run - Whatever you do don't go too slow, because if you do there's a chance your car will blow up. This is about skill and survival - if you drive too slow a bomb will blow up - all you have to do is survive as long as possible.

* Test Drive - Create your own tracks or select one of the ready created tracks and take either your custom built car or a ready made car out for a test drive. Crash it , smash it, time it, drive it - do whatever you like.

Yeah, the PS2 is capable of producing that level of graphical detail*

*running at 2fps :D

I think your just concentrating on the guns, the guns look good but the enviroments look dire. So it may be able to play it. The only good thing on those screens is the gun and some fancy effects.
