Anyone know if theres any mods to improve Far Crys graphics ala HL2 high rez pack

i think it looks better than HL2 with high res packs. see the page before, so of them shots look stunning, especially for an 'old' game!

WTF is up with the water close up  Why does it look realistic? It never looked like that

You can't really tell by that scaled down pic, but the water was very pixelated and looked really bad. Its either an issue with the demo or its my 7900GT (forceware 91.31).
Its strange, i have always had issues with this game. Even when i had the full game with latest patch, i could never have the settings on high without some of the textures ending up really messed up. Thats with 3 different graphics cards...

do you have the high res textures and 64bit patch on aswell. might install again and just get the 1.4 patch. ive got an x1800XT

I downloaded the 64bit content but the lengthy installation process put me off. 1.4 worked fine without a major performance hit but caused some stability issues when loading new maps so I just ended up reverting to 1.33.

The last time I played through the game was with a Geforce 4 Ti4200, so this time with an X1900 was basically like playing a new game and imho it still smokes most recent FPS games. Just keep taking headshots with the mp5 and you'll clock the it in no time! ;)

Just installed (and swiftly uninstalled) the FarCry demo. Cranked up the settings to very high (texture filtering wouldn't go higher than medium for some reason), and this is how it looked:

Strange...

The demo is very buggy and badly coded. The full game looks and runs a lot better.

Nah, getting fed up with SA:MP now :o Too many foreign kids playing it accusing you of "haxoring" when they have a 300 ping. Tired of getting random crashes aswell

It's time to come back to the GTA:Online server my friend, as popular as ever and the anti-cheat is pretty damn water tight, even if someone does get through the net a GM/admin is never too far away.

But even if i did come back, i'll still be fed up with some of the things lacking in the game. Although it's pretty hard to do, i'd like my car to stay in the server after i leave... Even after say, 2 days, it disapears from being idle. Would just cheer me up after spending thousands on a car then getting the game minimized from a bug :(

The in-game controls feature nothing like AA and AF. You need to use your graphics cards control panel to switch on all the image quality settings.

Some screen shots from the new Hitman demo. I enjoyed the demo and it looks pretty, runs decent (30-60 fps), but seems to stutter in some places, even if the fps is high. Its not huge stuttering, but subtle jerks especially when panning across the screen. Does the full game do this? Would 2gb ram help?

I'm using one of the high res texture packs and a reflection mod, both available from LFS forums, also AA and AF turned on in ATI tray tools.
