Call of Juarez SM3.0 vs SM2.0

This Demo is awesome and the game looks fantastic, really stretching my X1900's... heres a few pics i put together comparing SM3.0 and SM2.0... as you may notice the lack of HDR in SM2.0 really darkens the game...
played with everything maxxed out in game and in CCC @ 1440x900
Shader Model 3.0 (LEFT)
Shader Model 2.0 (RIGHT)

the girl to the left looks like alyx from hl2!

got bored the other night, so decided to create an anti-ship mission using B-52s, escorted by F-15s (including me).

Stuck the Admiral Kuznetsov in the large inlet at Sevastapol, and watched the attack.

The B-52 were armed with long range AGM-86 missiles, and I was amazed to see the Admiral Kuznetsov engaging them with its SAM systems and guns!

Eventually, after decimating the attacking B-52s and taking out half the AG missiles, the weight of numbers paid off.

Was very impressive to watch :)

Shame about there not being any AA option and the HDR is a tad too bright at times.

But my X1900 XTX doesn't seem to have any trouble running it.

You can have AA if you change to SM2.0, but then you lose the blurring effects. I hate having to compromise :(

Just a heads up, the Chuck Patch (HDR+AA) works with this game. ;)

What do you mean by the chuck patch?

The Chuck Patch is a driver update for Catalyst drivers (but not supported with 6.6 and 6.7 at present) which allow you to use HDR and antialiasing at the same time in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Supposedly it works with Call Of Juarez too. You can find it by doing a search on ATI's driver page. :)
