The shadows in this game are bloody amazing, its almost like a hybrid of the HL2 and Doom 3 engines. There's also ridiculous amounts of parallax mappings which looks amazing upclose especially with the torch switched on.

Thanks for the help, I opened it with notepad, found the custom height and custom width, changed them to 1360x768, then saved it and loaded up but its still 1280x768

You didn't go back into the options in-game did you, perhaps it overwrote the notepad settings again?

According to this you should be able to mate,

http://ucguides.savagehelp.com/Quake4/FAQ_Widescreen.htm

From TweakGuides.com,

r_customHeight [pixels] - Sets a custom screen height in pixels. The r_mode command must be set to -1 to allow this to work.

r_customWidth [pixels] - Sets a custom screen width in pixels. The r_mode command must be set to -1 to allow this to work.

r_mode [-1,3,4,5,6,7,8] - This setting determines the resolution, as set in the in-game menus under Screen Size (See In-Game Settings section). The mode values are -1 = Custom (see r_customheight, r_customwidth commands), 3 = 640x480, 4 = 800x600, 5 = 1024x768, 6 = 1152x864, 7 =1280x1024 and 8 = 1600x1200.

Agr3sive - The ingame menu won't display what you have manually entered. I have it set to width=1680 height=1050 r-mode=-1 but ingame the setting stays at 640*480.

Is it just me or every metalic object in stalker rusty as hell?

Haven't they heard of hammerite :p

You do realise that everything has been sat there for 20 years as its in a radioactive zone, hardly think their biggest priority was to get the boys in to touch stuff up with a lick of paint ;)

(although I wouldnt mind sending in some of the daytime tv decorators if you catch my drift)

Haven't read the storyline of the game yet, could always send in DIY SOS, or should that be DIY SAS? :p ;)
