Dude your machine will most likely have a good go now, just not at full settings, its new on GAME website for £4.99 btw (hope they arent classed as competitor - mods feel free to edit if so, and my bad)

Yep.

I can happily run Prey at Medium to High settings for everything @ 1024ish and ive only got a A64 2800, 1gb RAM and a 9800 pro!

Yeah I tried playing Prey on an A64 2.2ghz/1gb Ram/9800 pro and it ran perfectly fine at 1024x768 and some details turned down. Same thing with any other Doom 3 engine game, e.g. Doom 3 and Quake 4. The engine is pretty well optimised.

That said, if you do plan to upgrade in the near future, it's best to hold out untill then, because the graphics in Prey certainly do scale up nicely with better hardware. The difference between my 9800pro and x1900xt was phenomenal.

^ yeah basically , e.g. a catapault , drive cars n smash in to barrels , anything you can put a creative mind to really.

yeah although i cant find it on gmod 10, takes friggin ages to get to the top level lol

its definately worth the £5, bearing in the that the community for garrys mod is pretty big. there is always new maps/models/modes etc coming out for it.
regular updates from garry too now its on steam

yes thats with the new patch and also the 350 gamepad patch, thier is also a mouse patch as well but it just does'nt feel right using the mouse with this game, I haven't installed the texture mod yet.
