dont forget if you run with VSync to avoid tearing to use triple buffering as well to make things smooth!
DXTweaker is what you need...

Can you not enable triple buffering in the game then? I shouldn;t need DXTweaker, as I know I can force triple buffering on via the NVidia control panel, cos I had to use it during Hitman Blood Money.

Its just finished downloading, gonna give it a whirl!

AFAIK the NVidia and ATi triple buffering flag in the driver is for OpenGL games only, as OpenGL supports it natively. All DirectX games which do not have a triple buffer option in-game need a util such as DXTweaker to force the additional back buffers, whether this be an ATi or NVidia card.

hope this helps, for me VSync is a must as I cannot stand tearing, with Call of Juarez the game was pretty much unplayable at 1920x1200 until I started to use triple buffering to keep things smoother.

Never played COJ first time round as it ran ass on my 6800GT but now it runs much better (albeit a bit slower than XP on Vista)

I cannot enable Antialiasing for this game, not is there an option for VSync? Is this cos its the demo? Where these options added afterwards?

For some reason, I have the game maxed out... its runs fine, but just doesn;t look as good as those screenies?

You need patch 1.1 (iirc) to enable HDR+AA with G80 cards (so I guess you are out of luck with the demo)

I force VSync with the NVidia Control Panel (the game has no in-game option).

Just make sure you have SM3.0 enabled in graphic options.

Does it really matter, doesn't stretch the page any further.

Okay.. a second chance thread. 800x600 ONLY screenshots in this thread. Provide a link to the full image if you like, but only post images up to 800x600 here.

If you can't be bothered to resize it don't post it tbh.

Why bother? If people can't follow a simple rule like that and put a link instead of the picture then god help us all!

Either use a link or imageshack (or alternative) :)

are the ships in EVE supposed to be carrying thousands of people (in the storyline anyway) or am I supposed to believe you - the player is the only person onboard that entire vessel?

A ship like that one in that screenshot - a battleship - has several thousand people onboard. That particular one has about 6300 if I remember right. There is a list of ships crew sizes somewhere, but I can't find it!

This thread has had 9614 posts. Respect its age and popularity and follow the rules. You should think yourself lucky to be able to have this thread with its share size. The new cases gallery had a major rule change where you were alloyed to post 3 pictures at a time and are not allowed to comment on other posts unless you post pictures of your own. So don't try and ruin it for others.

its about time people stopped the whinging about the screenshot size 800*600 its no good for the detail in pictures displaying modern gfx, and theres nothing more annoying than having to click on a small 'link' that opens up adware .. its not about 'respecting' the thread ,the old format simply doesnt do screenshots justice

I agree to an extent - but there's nothing more annoying than having a screenshot make your browser go into widescreen mode when you don't want it to. Especially if it's a screenshot that isn't even a good one.

The scroll bar at the bottom shouldn't be appearing, ever.
