The absolute state of pubs these days

Last time I went to pub for a drink they were heaving - Gave it up when beer went up to 2 bob a pint - Only use a pub now for a meal and last one was well before the pandemic set in.

Never been able to keep beer in me - Most embarrasing was years ago going to a work mates house with load of other workers for a porn film night and beer was flowing - 30 min in I had to go upstairs - Got a load of jeers and hooting from lads.

Yep, I'm in my 40s now, and when I go to trance nights I'd say the average age is in the 30s, with quite a range.

Yeah, I mainly go to places like Fabric etc where at least half the punters are there for the artists/djs performing, so long as it's a proper club where the music is the main pull the crowds tend to be quite varied in age.

That is super weird. Old people are so odd.

Even when drunk that sounds a bit weird. I mean...yeah nah.

I went out Saturday and Guinness was £3.50, the week before in another pub was £3.40.
In November I was in Wetherspoons and it was £2.99.

The rule is come and live in Stoke.

Very common in the early 80s, not many people had a video player but porn was accessible so we had porn and card nights.
IN FACT, my Dad used to have Cine 8 in the 70s and he used to invite friends round.
I went to work at a firm called Staffs Silent Gears in 1978 and at dinnertime a colleague used to show porn on his projector in the canteen :)

You young uns don't know how lucky you are.

You went to a workmates house with male colleagues to watch porn?

It's no different to people sharing porn via WhatsApp these days.

Some of the WhatsApp groups i've been in over the years people (men) get super excited when someone sends an OnlyFans leak or porn and then proceed to show other people their with.

I think it's weird too, nothing wrong with porn but communal viewing should be done with other consenting people.

Sorry to go off topic here but are “porn nights” an actual thing ? Like a bunch of dudes getting together to watch porn ?

Is this considered normal ?

I explained, in the 70s and early 80s it was very normal like going to watch a porn show with live women in a WMC and they lock the doors.
Porn wasn't accessible at the time to everybody.
Obviously come the mid 80s nearly everybody had a video player and they died out.

One of my favourite things about going to Saffrica on holiday is the cost. A bottle of beer at a pub costs about 80p, and it's good beer too. Pints are more expensive at about £1-£1.15.

My favourite restaurant is Spur, where you can get a 600g rack of ribs with chips, salad and the whole shebang for £9.

I always eat like a fat ******* when we're over :D
