The Air Rifles & Pistols thread

I created a video on my Kalibre Cricket .22 air rifle.

It may help those who are looking to get a semi decent air rifle.

Warts and all review and not sponsored, just thought it would be fun to do.

Nice review, just swapped my HW100 KT for an FX Wildcat & loving it so far.

Only thing that put me off getting a cricket was the cocking lever been at the rear of the gun, prefer the more forward lever of the wildcat.

Thanks all,

Yup totally agree, it is a PITA the lever and the stupid 2nd magazine switch. I believe the default position of the mag switch is for single loading, but no-one I have seen uses the cricket for single loading.

I am after a FX Impact, that gun looks sweet even if they are as rare as hens teeth at the moment.

A follow up video showing the internal workings of the cocking / loading mechanisms and how to mod the rifle to make loading magazines a lot easier and even single handed.

I have just purchased a ATN X-Sight II HD scope.

I am slowly working through a review of it and here is part 1 going through what the scope is and what you get for your money.

Looking to pick up a BSA R10 SE soon.

Anyone own one? I know the MK1 and MK2 had their fair share of issues but it seems the latest revision is much better. It was a toss up between that and the HW100, mainly for target shooting. The high shot count and looks has swayed me towards the R10.

ive had both. build quality is better with the hw100 in my opinion but depending what version you have ( full length or carbine ) its quite a bit heavier.

have you considered the hw110? weight of the hw100 carbine but with a 100+ shot count. also a bit cheaper to at £650. could put the difference into a dive cylinder.

Yeah I looked at the HW110. Seems to be a lovely rifle, however I am not keen on the synthetic stock, much prefer a nice piece of wood!

Opinions on the KRAL Bullbups guys? I'm pondering upgrading my Hammerli 850 with that...
I *mostly* shoot the 850 from the shoulder, and the bullpup seems like a much better balanced gun for that style of shooting...

Opinions?

Don't buy a Kral fullstop, mate has the puncher rifle & it's accuracy is shocking and it is a common problem. Many sites in Europe offer Kral's with barrel options such as CZ or Walther as the factory barrels are very poor & the magazines are not much better.

You would be better off buying the SMK bullpup, yes it's made in China but it's a way better gun than the Kral.

Bullpups are ugly things aren't they!

My brother just picked up a Walther Rotex RM8 which is similar money to the Kral Bullpup.
It's an 8 shot full length moderated PCP.

Nice looking gun and very accurate. Plenty of shots per fill as well, around 150 in .22. Only negatives so far are the bolt action is a little notchy and it's quite a heavy lump. Apart from that seems a very good gun for the money (£390)

Fancied a springer as a stop gap and managed to find a Hatsan 55s locally for a very good price. Seem to get very good reviews online so quite excited to pick it up! :)

Birthday present from my brother :) Great little pistol! It's a 7 shot .22 and is about 5.5 ft/lb

This is the new 2017 Kalibrgun Cricket Mini Carbine that hasn't even reached the gun smiths yet.
A subscriber of my channel managed to get one imported and lent it me for the 1st review on the net.
