The Air Rifles & Pistols thread

Ebay won't unless you split it into components.

Airgunbbs is a reasonable site to sell on, not sure if you have to post on there to get access to the sales section or not?

Freeads I believe do allow or certainly used to allow sales.

Other option find a local club, see if they have a for sales board and add it to there if allowed.

Finally go along to your local gun shop and ask them if they'd buy it, but be prepared for a shock on what they offer you.

Thank you for the tips :)

Holy thread necro.

Grabbed a new HW110 in .177 at the end of April to replace my dog of a S410 in .22 which still has power issues.

Extremely happy with it. Love the sidelever cocking action as its so low effort and smooth. It's grouping 5p sized holes from 10 pellets at 40m, its very accurate. It's currently shooting at 11.4 ftlbs, very consistantly The only downside is im hammering through my pellets so im having to buy lead in bulk at the moment! It likes Accupells and JSB exacts so far but still trying different pellets to find what it likes the most.

Recently bought £70 ish of lead

sadly pellets are ridiculous price now, when i was into air rifles i remember buying one of the best competition spec ones available for £3 something a tub. I still have thousands of them and they keep going up in value lol.

Those accupells are in a shortage at the moment and i picked these up for £13.95 a tin, seen prices as high as £20. Even at £13.95 thats 2.7p per shot!

Gotta admit i haven’t bought a tin of pellets for 30 odd years but that seems expensive. Might be a stupid question but are they lead?

Those are lead and most pellets are lead but there's rumblings that the sport will be forced into lead free pellets in the future.

There's a dim view of the performance of lead free but if it becomes law there's not a whole lot can be done about that.

They have been saying similar things about fishing weights and maybe legislating to go to a lead free alternative.

Very nice, I still have a HW100 from I believe 2007, been absolutely solid.

That's a lovely looking rifle. We had a local air rifle club start up last year, tempted to join and take Moley junior to teach him to shoot. I used to have a Baikal .177 years ago but gave it away to a friend. I was a reasonable shot but my eyesight is terrible nowadays, not sure I could hit the side of a bus at 5 meters! :D

I love it, best air rifle i've had by far, I picked it up for £789 when most places are asking for £860-£900. I love it, very easy to use and very accurate

@Moley Def take Moley Juniour, would be a good activity for the pair of you :)

How many shots per charge are you getting out of interest? The only reason I would get rid of the H100 would be for a larger shot count.
I believe its the same as the HW100 but with a smaller magazine (10 shot). Advertised is 110 in .177 and 140 in .22. I would say the 110 is accurate for me, shooting from 200 bar to 90ish. i only really notice any drop in the aim point at about 110bar

That's pretty good going I wasn't aware they're using the same cylinder, I've not used mine in a long time but I'm pretty sure I was only getting 60-75 out of it.

It might just be my bias as im loving it lol. I'm down the range on sunday morning so i'll fill her up and put some lead down to see if im accurate with what im saying.

Additionally i bought my self a new gun bag that i can carry like a ruck sack and it doesnt make it look like im carrying an air rifle.

I also bought this, which is entirely unnecessary but a nice to have. A 3D printed magazine and filler probe magnetic box

Magnets on that are a nice touch. Enjoy...I love the feeling of shooting something new. With the price of ammunition these days I pretty much just stick to my 22LR's. I use the HW100 for garden plinking but that eventually lead me to joining clubs / FAC.

I left the FAC club I was going to after 18 months as they were very cliquey and some odd people in the club too. They also had an obsession with posting gore and trans porn in the club whatsapp group which i found fairlyu weird considering they were all married men 45+ years old. The air rifle club I go to is has 15 clubs, mainly firearms, that shoot out of it and the club sec is well in with the other clubs and part of the range sec so if i want to pick it up again i think i should get a reasonable in to one of the FAC clubs.

Very concerning behaviour, they should know better, especially being fac holders. Thankfully not had anything like that at the clubs I’ve joined.
