About 10k? (Pounds)

You can get one of those Browning rifles for about £1400-£1500.

Next tier up are the Tikka's, about £2k

Then accuracy international rifles... £4k.

Then sort of the top end without going specialist/unusual are the Barrett rifles, those are £6k.

Realistically there isn't a lot in it, a lot of it is brand tax, and people will pay because it's cool to have the same rifle that is used for police/military.

The accuracy international rifles are my favourite and you can basically get the AWM from the original counter-strike, which is cool, but £4k is too much to justify spending.

Ah didn't realise we could post "real" firearms as well. Will put some pictures up soon! :)

Yea there is another thread, it's not against the rules to post real guns on here, to be honest I'm not going to hijack this one any further as it is an air rifle thread.

Edit: here

I left the FAC club I was going to after 18 months as they were very cliquey and some odd people in the club too. They also had an obsession with posting gore and trans porn in the club whatsapp group which i found fairlyu weird considering they were all married men 45+ years old. The air rifle club I go to is has 15 clubs, mainly firearms, that shoot out of it and the club sec is well in with the other clubs and part of the range sec so if i want to pick it up again i think i should get a reasonable in to one of the FAC clubs.

A lot more than here in NZ, a basic Tikka stainless/synthetic is about $1800nz. I have only 2 Tikkas now (sold my 7mmMag to a mate) and a couple of Browning X-Bolts which i love.I have 13 now , including a .22 slug gun and my 1187 shotgun. Would like a 25-06 but trying to find one with a 24" barrel is difficult.

Doesn't surprise me, everything in the UK is expensive.

I have 6 at the moment, most recent one is a Kar98k, with "BYF 43" stamped on the receiver, so built by Mauser in Obendorf in 1943.

Whilst I cannot be sure every part is matching, the serial on the receiver and several different parts of the bolt are all stamped, and all match, the stock is laminated which is correct for that period, and the barrel strap, and lack of fancy milled bolt spring circle in the stock are all correct for that period.

It shoots pretty straight as well, at least last time I hit an 8" steel plate 14 of out 15 times at 100 yards, that's good enough.

Nice, i don't have anything old and collectable. Oldest I have is my 1187 which I got for my 21st! So only about 26 years ago.
