Well stuff that as my impulse buy, went down, sold out jsut the 3G 64's left, tried a competitor, and they were the same.

Apple store now saying 3-4 weeks when ordering.

(I was asking which one you went for and for some reason I didnt see the bubblewrap case).

Its not bad looking but rather bulky for me :)

I actually like the Apple case which most detest for some reason.

It's not perfect, or magical, but it's a damn fine toy that, as time passes, and updates made, will be even better.

It'll never replace my desktop PC but my laptop is sat in the corner looking very sorry for itself.

Wireless laptop neither pins you down either:p

Can anyone tell me whats the battery life like on these ipad thingys??...having second thoughts about getting one as if its as bad as the iphone then i wont bother.

Ive found mine to be very good.
Its just in its 2nd full discharge cycle too, so it can only get better. :)
 
for a device such as the ipad imo the battery life is the most impressive thing about it.

i played a game for 30 minutes and battery went down 2%

last night I left a night clock on for about 10 hours and it went down to 25%, thats the lowest ive had it so far

LOL oh right...well my laptop is a 13" dell jobby and is pretty light.

Only issue i have with my laptop on my lap is the heat it dissipates lol...gets pretty damn hot...does the ipad get hot over use ie if you use it constantly??

Noope, its not even warm. I think it's because of the hardware doesn't produce much heat and that the aluminium back is a good heat conductor/radiator.

Ok thanks....for some odd reason i keep thinkibng it has a plastic back a la iphone style.
 
I bought a stand for my laptop as the bottom gets very warm. I prefer cooked balls from the Chinese (with sweet and sour sauce).
 
Doing the obligatory post from my iPad - went to Brent Cross today and picked a 32GB wifi one up. I was amazed - they had all of the wifi models and the 64GB 3G available!
