Missed out on a 64GB iPad for £390 on ebay last night.

Can't see it being cheaper when it launches here :(

The 3 MiFi is awful. You can buy an Novatel MiFi for a couple of hundred quid and stick a PAYG Mobile Broadband SIM into it. Dom McCallister's blog has more details (and it is what most AMericans I've seen are using)
 
What's the difference between the 2?(3 and Novo) What do I get for my few hundred quid extra?

Depending on how much the 3g ipad is going to cost (a lot if anything like the US prices) I could be tempted into a mifi for train journeys, especially when I can multitask.

I want one too!!! I was going to get a 13" MBP but for what I use a laptop for the iPad and keyboard dock should suffice. Well 2x iPads for the price of the MBP and the missus can have one.
 
I might get one but im not totally sold.

1. What can these do that a laptop cant?
2. What use would it be around the house?
3. Can it play the same games as the iphone from itunes?
4. Can i put my purchased games onto it via itunes?
5. Do these need a sim?

1) it's form factor
2) couch surfer, ebook reader.
3/4) pretty sure it can.
