Cant get a good credit card due to lack of history. Laughable really. I want to build history but the only cards that will take me will be like 38% APR.

Or yes i would have done that and paid it off as quick as possible but i cant im afriad

If you pay it off each month, what difference does the APR make?

Is anybody till enjoying the pick up and use ability of this thing...I sometimes am sitting in front of the tv tapping about the internet, then catch on just how usable this thing is.

Wouldnt want to live without it now, its just odd to go on the net on a computer now in many ways, it makes the net like a magazine, also the apps are just great, im thinking of selling my wifi and getting the 3g now however

I've been using mac since i was 7 years of age, and i've worked with them all that time, even as a developer.

Even im struggling the point of why the public are going crazy for this device.

Is it just the tail end of the "netbook " craze?

I've never had a netbook but intrested in being more portable as sit behind a 8 core/16thread beast all the time.

This thing surfs the net faster than any quad core pc I have ever seen.

Apple might have screwed up the 4th iPhone but they have nailed the 1st gen iPad.

As long as you have a regular job you should be able to get a credit card with the bank you have your current account with, even if just a £500 limit, you seriously cant say you cannot get any at all ?!

Yea i haven't really tried any cards bar the 0 percent ones 2bh. I could probably get one from my bank. My only problem is due to no credit history and my work is very on and off. Im full time employed when out of uni and then part time when out

Id go and talk to your bank and have a chat, I did this with mine and they offered me deals way way better than any other bank, as id been with them for years and years, if you have been with them over 5 years you will be in luck. If your history is abismal, they may offer you a prepaid deal or something, but I doubt you will be that bad as you have to be borrowing money and not paying back for that.

Actualy have been with two banks for over 5 years. Should i go with Santander or TSB?

Back to ipad chat how does the battery hold uP? Im going to T in the Park soon and i have a 5 hour journey to endure :(

Turn down the brightness, turn off wifi and bet i can make it last through the return journey too.

Oh dear just had a play with an ipad for the second time - BBC News Videos simply dont work (flash). This is a massive No no for me gutted. Also google documents wont work. Think that blows the ipad.

What a pity.

That's not been my experience. It's fast but it's not faster than my desktop.

Plus my PC doesn't have big gaps where videos should be.

I really like this device but I hate apple for not including flash support and multi-tasking.

i go on youtube and vimeo loads and other places and i dont think there has ever been a time when i have thought dam it no flash, its just never happened so tbh i dont miss flash

So I take it you dont ever go to a news site?

Yes, CNN works fine :p

Flash is a glaring omission for what seems to me to be partly hypocritical reasons (closed software bad = pot calling kettle black) but I'm sure the 2 companies could get this sorted out to everyone's satisfaction. If my iPad can run some of the games it can then I'm sure a mobile version of Flash will be taken in it's stride.
