Yea just had to stick the 2 twilight films on mine for the GF were going down to London in a week and she wants stuff to watch :( so much for watching District 9 on the train
 
I just (well about an hour ago) went to the Apple Store in Leicester and spent the same amount on an iPad than I did on a MacBook three years ago. There was a massive queue for the iPhone 4 (and the store was closing in 1/2 hour) and the security guard nearly didn't let me in! Knob. :D

One 64Gb Wifi+3G iPad and an Apple case and a freaking massive dent in my wallet.

Has this been jailbroken? If so how is emulation? Especially stuff like PSX and Snes? Still hard to control using touch screens?

I have found a few uses for it. I had a laptop but sold it as alli did was browse the net with it anyway, I got a lot of away matches and for the trips when im not driving i have about 3 or 4 hours to kill. Its idela for that.

Im in two minds about waiting for a non rubbish Android tablet though.

Evo - don't know.
Android phone as a wireless hotspot - yes if your Android phone is rooted. I have used mine for the 3G on my 32gb WiFi iPad
Jailbroken - as far as I'm aware forum rules prevent us discussing that it has, apparently, been jailbroken so I can't tell you.

I figured out the calendar thing this morning at work, it works when using exchange but not with IMAP o\

Thanks for the iBooks and audible tips. Three does indeed seem the best deal ATM for both their £7.50 and £15.00/mo rolling 30-day plans. I just hope their coverage is good.

If you guys haven't already, install the team viewer Iphone app on your iPad and start up a remote session, making sure to use the ipad's zoom/"2x" option. The iphone UI buttons go pixelly, but the image of the screen you're remote controlling scales perfectly with no pixellation. It doesn't completely fill the screen, but it's still better than running it on the iphone, and it's awesome to remote control a PC from your iPad.

Regarding cases, I got a griffon one for £35. It doesn't double up as a stand like some of them do and it doesn't surround the edges of the iPad, but it's sturdy and made of nice materials so it'll keep the screen nice and safe.
 
Even with my new iPhone 4 vie still found my iPad taking up all of my time this evening (I'm even on it now)

Can't believe that initially I wasn't going to get one of these, it's without doubt my favourite ever apple purchase :)

Jobs and co have certainly got a lot of money out of me this month :p
 
Picked one up from the Meadowhall Apple Store at lunch (only reserved on Monday so not too bad). Sadly its got to sit in my bag until I get home and hook it up to itunes, gonna be a long couple of hours. Wish I'd brought my macbook to work.

Now the dilemma of which accessories and case to buy!

I got the Apple case as from what I have seen despite the fact it gets dirty quickly it is one of the best looking, doesn't bulk up the iPad, and is not massively overpriced.

Oh and this is my first obligatory post from the iPad in the smallest room in the house!
 
The Apple Store in MK should has a reservation for a 16G Wifi - 3G in my name which expires at the end of tomorrow. If anybody wants to use the reservation let me know and I'll give you the details to collect.
 
Im think of getting one now. Hated them on release.

What has happened to me!!!!!!

Actually i blame the bloody iPad adverts that are running constantly through the WC.
