*** The all new Apple iPad thread - Keep all iPad stuff in here ***

Anyone come across a good bracket to allow my iPad to be mounted on the back of the headrest in the car so my little un could use it to watch a film in the car?

I've seen a couple that look a bit cheap and plasticy so far, I suspect they'd just bounce around with every small bump in the road.

Just get a bag....

This is not a serious answer ;) No clue to be honest. There's loads out there though.
Im thinking of getting an ipad to replace my netbook. It will be used primarily for web browsing.

Am i making a mistake? How are flash handled?
How are flash? Well considering iOS doesn't have flash :p

Hi all.

Just a quick one. I've just bought an iPad and I'm wondering if other peoples home buttons are 'clicky'?

I think I picked it up in landscape mode last night and possibly depressed the button from a funny angle or put a bit too much pressure on it and now it seems more 'clicky'.

It might just be my mind playing tricks with me as I don't seem to remember a click when I got it the other day but I might not have noticed it due to being in awe of the thing.

It could just be the way it's designed and I never noticed it till now??

My wife's iPad home button is 'clicky' too - much louder than her 3GS home button anyway.

I still wouldn't be surprised if they made the iPad a bit smaller. Because people say it's to big to take around while a 7" isn't. Makes sense but I don't want a mix between a big phone and a small iPad :P

Probably, if only it were larger! I'd love something insane like a 12" screen, 10" may be about perfect though for a tablet. Looks promising though, competition can only be good.

i really do not see the point of a 7". My ip4 is big enough for temp browsing, and a 7" isnt bigger enough to justify carrying a second device, whereas my iPad is.

I find the test a bit crap really. I why conduct a test with the primary product not being even out in the first place? By the time the playbook even see's light of day, it'll be facing the iPad2 rather than the first incarnation of the product.

At the end of the day, the market is dominated by one product which has the software foundation, and their 'toy' hasn't even been released.
