*** The all new Apple iPad thread - Keep all iPad stuff in here ***

You can scroll through it using two fingers, put your fingers in the quote box and scroll with both as if you were using one, if that makes sense  Can be a bit fiddly and doesn't always play ball.

Oh wow, that actually works, thanks mate! :D

To others,
Put fingers alongside each other like you were jabbing at Clegg's eyeballs, and move then up and down in the text box.

Shiny new iPad 2 64Gb 3G just landed on my desk!

Very happy bunny! :D

Gone from wi-fi only to 3g on the iPad 2, will help with the resale value when iPad 3 comes out this time next year.
Sheme we can't pre-order now, because I wouldn't mind betting it will have retina or some other higher res screen.

I don't care how much it costs.

I'm having one.:D

Hmm I'm bidding for one on eBay, any tips so I don't get scammed?
Just for ref, one went for £435, 16gb 3G iPad2

My iPad 1 was only £140 less 2nd hand, so that seemed quite good.
Use Paypal and confirm everything is in the box.

Thanks to mofei for the USB utility, mine is charging now :)
(ignore the failed install message)

What the? one actually went for over £60 cheaper ?!

What's like for a browser though? Decent, quick?

Slower than Safari. All browsers on iOS are slower than Safari as only Safari can use the Nitro JavaScript engine.

I just ran the Sunspider JavaScript benchmark on Safari and Atomic Web on ipad2.

Safari 2110ms
Atomic 5890ms

Test any browser you like on iOS and nothing will beat Safari on 4.3

Obviously nothing is going to beat Safari, but if it has the features you want, a small hit in load times may be worth it.

Personally, I just use Safari :p

Apologies if this has already been asked before, but how do people get on using it as a shared device? Reason I ask is, me and the mrs share the iPad as a sofa browser/games machine but we both have our own iPhones and user accounts on the mac.

Currently the iPad is syncd with my account so I can sync my apps etc if I wish, but what happens if she wanted to install some of her games on the iPad that are obviously associated to her account - any suggestions?
