You'll need a US account for accessing the store on the iPad until the UK launch, but you can buy on the UK store in iTunes and sync across. Once the UK store has launched the iPad will just work like a UK one - no difference.

There's only one thing I feel is missing and that's the old chestnut which is multi tasking and that's coming. I miss things like 1password and text expander. I do have 1password pro and it's possible i've not set it all up to integrate with safari properly so I'm having to search for logins.

1Password Pro doesn't integrate with MobileSafari. Unless you want to copy & paste logins across (hassle!) you have to use the 1Password Pro browser.

Hopefully Apple change stance on allowing plugins for MobileSafari though.
 
Oooo didn't know the bookmarks worked in MobileSafari! :) That's my biggest gripe about using it on the iPhone. Will give it a go.

FYI: I'm using Calibre to convert PDFs to ePUB so I can sync via iTunes.

You can use the iBooks application, which is nice because they show up on the bookshelf :)
 
coming up to 24 hours of ownership now and I've barely put it down except to sleep, as I'm off work this week :D

Now got Plants vs Zombies HD, Angry Birds HD, N.O.V.A, Real Racing HD, Fieldrunners, Flight Control HD, Tap Tap Radiation, Pocket Legends and a few more - all from a iTunes giftcard I got for my birthday months ago, glad I saved it :D

Should keep me busy.

If anyone has any doubts about this device, don't - it's incredible - and I'm far from an Apple evangelist normally :)
 
No, I'm not but I'm being incredibly careful with it. I may get a gelaskin for mine, either the same design as the one on my iPhone or even just the clear version as I like the feel of the gelaskin.

Yeah, I don't use the case for protection really. I just find it good for changing the angle at with the iPad sits on the table/my legs etc.
